Yes they seem brutal (probably more so than krogan standards) but their pack mentality has got me thinking, seeing how capable and hard to take down the SB was.. don't you think seeing their potential he would go to their banned homeworld, maybe convinicng the council to let him go there since hey 'I was right about the whole reaper's-gonna-kill-us' thing'.

Anyway he would go there, defeat the leader and recruit him seeing as they're very loyal once proven there is someone stronger.

maybe they seem submissive once a dominant male is established. Damn I don't even know if they could fit in the new normandy. Maybe in the old one's cargo bay. They sure are awesome though. Hopefully they play a part in the upcoming dlc's or ME3. Going to their home world would be insane.

My thoughts exactly.. they just seem very suitable for the incoming Reaper threat and Shepard is going to need every resource he can find.

definitely, what's amazing is that their intelligence seems Salarion like as well. Jesus they are bigger than Krogans, more violent and as intelligent as Salarians. If they don't play a part in ME3 I sense a future ME spinoff with them as the enemy.

Hmmm might be an idea but we might just end up with Krogan 2.0 bug edition.

I don't see them as an ally.. I see them more as prime candidates for Reaper ground forces. An indoctrinated Yahg could be very nasty.

Yep if they get to them first.

i wonder what role they would play. maybe a Wrex reincarnation. i'm sure that like wrex and the krogan, not everyone of them want to kill shepard. they seem smart enough that a yarg would could team up with shep. tho size would be a problem w/ the cover system. possibly a small young ambitious yarg.

They're like a combination of Krogan, Salarian, and Turian. Strength - Intelligence and Honor. Just imagine facing an army of those ><

Damn...you mean i'll have to kill more of those things? Of course having a number of enemies that size may annoy the level designers due to the inability to use the human animations set, pathfinding etc but anything is possible.

well bioware isnt going to let a new character model go to waste on a single encounter. although i must admit they have written themselves into a corner with this one. pre space flight race and extremly rare outside of their homeworld... if the batarians from BDtS were any indication the yagh are going to be in ME3... but i just dont see how they are going to make it plausible to see more of them other than us going to their homeworld.

I hope not. Not only are they butt-ugly, they're the second biggest Mary Sues in the Galaxy. All war-like but intelligent at the same time...

You know, as smart as the Shadowbroker was, as far as I could tell their intelligence was only measurable on one of the yagh- the one that became the SB. It would be hard to tell how smart they are as a species as only one has demonstrated the abilities listed.

It will be interesting to see how these play out... Even though they are not warlike to the point of krograns, would they ever be able to get past their brutality to become a space-faring race?

Well, they *could* effectively fill the role of Token Evil Teammate.

1. You don't know what a "mary sue" is 2. They do have a crutch, their pack mentality and anger. 3. You cant judge their entire species by one exceptional Yahg.

I want the volus who kicked Jilani as my squadmate. And that's his power, he kicks people.

And Shep thought before that a Krogan army would be bad.

Eh..... Iuno... A bartarian squadmate would be just as likely to shoot you in the back as he would be to shoot the enemy in the face.  They're constantly portrayed as being selfish, territorial, and not all that smart....  I mean, all we've dealt with are the dumb ones that take orders and are basically fodder for your guns... maybe a bit more useful then the vorcha.  I suppose they're capable enough though, they are successful pirates and slavers.

It'd be interesting but I just don't see it.
