Okay, so last night I come home after a particularly emotionally gruelling day at work (found out a work colleague died) and download LotSB onto the Xbox.

I play, I die a few times, I get into the swing of things, start to think tactically about how I am going to play my other Shepards etc etc, then I finish it but wait there's more, yay I think, dessert.

Then I get to those dossiers.

I...I...I am speechless.

Mass Effect has touched on ideas of conception/loss with its story arc on the genophage, but hell to have one of its main characters personally affected by this....and as someone personally affected by this issue, and associated loss, reading that particular dossier I felt a pang in my heart....Bravo Bioware! I thankyou for making this game real to me, incredibly enjoyable and helping me get through some tough crap in my life.

You really touched something in me (my soul perhaps?)

My condolences.

Also, which dossier is that? Or are you just referring to the whole thing?

Perhaps the OP doesn't wish to speak of it, but I think we can make an accurate guess as to which one it is.

My condolences as well. The dossier's really stirred up something in me as well. It's funny how just a few typed words can give a character so much depth.

I think the OP means the very top one. Which starts out incredibly funny, gets funnier, and then...

Aye I was expecting it just to be a bit of a joke and a few easter eggs but it got fairly deep in parts. The only person it didn't flesh out atleast a bit is the galaxy's most boring man Jacob.

I loved how Zaeed's unflinching cynicism carries on even in notes to himself.

Yes it was Miranda's dossier I was referring too. And yes different things touch us in different ways havoc, I was also moved when I heard about Garrus's mother, that made me sad (and yeah I lost my mother to cancer several years ago, really it's a wonder I wasnt a dribbling mess after reading them all - except that they made me laugh lots too).

So yeah, those dossiers resonated with me as I suspected with some of you as well.

Dossiers were awesome. Really made me feel for some of the characters. Felt like I was spying on Jacob and the Citadel cop, though!

I agree. So much that I had to bold, underline, and italicize. I don't do that often. :P
