As a big garrus fan, I really hope bioware goes back to the drawing boards for this one. I hope to god they don't release the shirt like that.

I know right? I can imagine walking into like a Toys R Us and seeing this shirt in there. I think Blue and Black would be a bit better, and on top of that redoing his facial design would be better.javierabegazo wrote...

It's a proposed design, and they're asking for feedback on it on the Mass Effect 2 Facebook page. Looking at the feedback so far, I'm going to guess we're safe from this particular shirt.

although the artist is more talented than me with a pencil. i really dont like this t-shirt. its too cute and fluffy the scar on his erm "lips" looks like he had strawberry jam for breakfast and forgot to wipe his mouth.
Their better off doing a render of the ingame model and sticking that onto a t-shirt. put garrus in a cool pose and that would be alot better than this...

The colors and lighting in general make it look completely the opposite from the character it's supposed to represent. The last shirt was simpler, depicted the character in a standard way, and was just better-designed as a whole.
Something similar to the Tali shirt but simply with Garrus instead would work well enough.

No I was thinking the other way around. The problem is that there seems to be a handful of people who actually like it. That why I made this thread. I want to let people know....even if garrus may not be your favorite guy. If bioware comes out with a shirt like this then they might make a similar shirt design with your character. So voice your opinions.

I applaud the effort to produce an official Garrus tee, but I'd like a more refined design, something like the Tali shirt.
Someone over in Garrus Thread said it was too "Three Wolf Moon." I agree. The colors are too loud for the black background. Garrus' face is lacking some precision and definition. We don't get to see much of those avian eyes, and the lovely blue markings on his face are disappearing into the shadows. The brows are getting all the attention. Turian faces are one of the artistic highlights of the game, and they deserve to be rendered in all their painstaking glory.
Mostly, it's the atmosphere of it all that's off. This captures some of the badassery and intensity of Garrus, but it's missing a lot of the other things people like about him and the turians in general. What I'd like to see evoked more clearly: Garrus' professionalism, precision, and elegance; his love for justice; his open-mindedness; his humor; and his gentle side.
There's one thing I do like: the composition of the way the red background meets the blue edge of Garrus' armor. Blue and red seem to feature prominently in turian fashion palattes and strike me as symbolically interesting. The red area also alludes to Garrus' tech skills, which is nice. However, the red needs to be toned down so as not to overwhelm the piece, and the blue needs to be better integrated into the armor itself.
Minor details I'd enjoy: the sniper rifle might be nice, and I'd also enjoy full-body Garrus to showcase the turian anatomy.

HOW could they mess this up?? His face looks deranged - why couldn't they use an image from in-game instead of (what looks to be) fanart? The only thing I like about it is that it's black.
That being said, I'm glad Bioware is delivering some female sized t-shirts, and of course I am still going to show my love for Garrus and buy it. But yeesh.
