I would like to see Garrus in wire-frame from a far enough distance to see his full body, similar in scale to the geth shirt. I would like the shirt to be dark (midnight) blue and the wireframe to be black and/or silver.

just an idea.

What about Garrus in something like the ME2 Squad screen pose, plus sniper rifle?

I like this idea.  I'm actually not the biggest fan of the Tali shirt design so I hope they go a different direction with the Garrus tee.  Even if the Tali one is rather subtle it's still too much face (or, er, lack of face/too much visor?).  Someone also proposed a sketch-style drawing of Garrus in one of the threads.  I'd be ok with that too.

And the proposed Garrus shirt?  In all honesty: barf (sorry shirt designer guy/gal).  I would not spend money on it.  Agree with the "looks too much like three-wolf-moon" comment, also the weird color scheme, also that the Garrus drawing looks like semi-competent fan art.

Oh but the fact that it looks like they are planning lady-cut shirts - smart move, Bioware.

Am I the only one who thinks the red markings in the background looks like the word "reach"? (stretched vertically)

If it had the 'Me & Garrus' pic on the shirt instead, I'd buy it.

But, anyway, yeah the colour scheme is... unpleasant. Blue is definately Garrus' colour, IDK why they have red in the background. I was just checking out the geth tee design and I agree that more of a full body, distanced kind of shot would be better.

Really, just please redesign it.

Garrus looks like hes about to cry. I do not want to buy a shirt with a badass character about to cry.

Plain and simple? It's awful- it's not Garrus at all. (I mean it -is- him, but...well, you know what I mean.) The red is waaay too in your face and the artwork? While it's fine enough as fanart, on an official shirt, just...gah, no. Someone else said it looks too childish and while I enthusiastically agree, part of me is like, "you've got no room to complain, wearing a freaking video game dude on your shirt and all."  However, a loud part of me says "yeah, but I don't want to look like a complete tool while doing so."  Not saying certain people couldn't rock it, but I know I couldn't and I have the sneaking suspicion most others couldn't, either.

The background stuff seriously looks like some of that godawful kanji that was slapped all over everything a couple years back. By which I do not mean well-written kanji on everything, I mean the -real- crack: things that said " pie atlas when russet drive," were written backwards, etc.

Garrus is my homeboy, yall. Give him a design that fits the character you've made so many of us to love so much. No offense against the artist/designer/whoever, buuuuut...I'm afraid it should be back to the drawing board, guys.

Damn straight! As a total Garrus animal, I'd very much like to see sumthing less of an 'evil background makes me badass' kind of image and more of a 'grin and bear it' kind. Seriously, they must totally hate Garru. First, he has an Oedipus's complex, then he's a wreck on omega, then Raskolnikov or Monte-Cristo, more like, on the Citadel (saved by the Shep-strap), and now his mom's cancer. That has to show.

Hmmm, the airbrushed look doesn't look so good. I won't tell you it's bad. But as much as I like Garrus I wouldn't buy one in it's current state.

Ugly and loud t-shirt! D:

I prefer if it was more simplistic with a twist. I think it should use a dark navy instead of black (there's enough black clothes in the store, IMO). And the drawing looks very sinister, like a horror movie.

But shouldn't this topic be in the bioware store thread than the ME General thread?

As much as I love Garrus and want to buy anything with him on it...I wouldn't buy this.

Here's my opinions:
  • The red is distracting, and shifts the focus away from Garrus. If you're going to include red, I'd suggest it only be as an accent. Blue is his signature colour, anyway.
  • The pic of him is an alright pose, though I'd prefer something that shows more of him than his face and collar.
  • His eyes are barely visible, and look more like drell eyes to me, while the visor is too 'ME1' - in ME2, which is clearly the timeframe of this picture, the 'screen' of his visor isn't solid.
  • While it does give a badass vibe, if I didn't know the ME series, I'd expect him to be a villain based on this shirt.
The other posters have made some good suggestions so far, and any that I'd make would just be repeating what they say, so I'll spare anyone reading this.
Please don't make this shirt, Bioware! :crying:

was messing around with an idea the other day, it's probably not the best screencap for this, but still...
Garrus Shirt

I'd still say, Bioware, make a contest, sort out most of them and let people vote on the 10 finalists or something... :?

With its current design, I would only wear it at home or a convention of some sort. Definitely not every day as I do with my TF2 and HL2 DM shirts. This suggested shirt design would be better off as a poster then a t shirt.

I'd wear Criz's shirt over that one any day of week.

Yep, the black N7 t-shirt and the hoodie are still the only two ME2 shirts I'd wear in public.

In a strange coincidence, those are also the two that I own.

Now, how about a paragade energy drink shirt? :)

Yeah, the rest is a bit too lavish. I'd totally love a tee with a small N7 (where the N7 emblem is at the same position as on Shepard's armour). Criz's Garrus design is also stylised/abstract enough that it's getting close to being fit for public wear.

THAT'S AMAZING.

Yeah, Bioware might be better off with t-shirt design contests. Most of what we see is just for 5 year olds. I thought we moved beyond the 90s cheezy designs, but I guess not...

If the artwork were in line with his actual design, I might actually like that. As it is, he barely looks like a turian at all.

He looks too "cute." I think my 10-year old brother would wear it, but I'm 21, I'm trying to move away from cute shirts.
IMO.
