I just got done reading the second book and I was inspired to make this thread. While the second book I don't think would make that great of a game (too many main characters and plot points) I think the first book (Mass Effect: Revelation) would make an excellent game adaption. With either seperate play throughs as either Captain Anderson or Saren, or side by side back and fourth character play. I think not only would it be feasible, I think it would make for an incredible game and something new. While playing as Anderson would have you more in the Shepard range of conversation areas; playing as Saren would be down right dark. Even his paragon choices are still much darker then most of Shepard's, and his renegade choices are down right murderous.
Another thing I'd like to see in video game form are the multiple wars. While the First Contact War was mostly fought in ships, Mass Effect: Revelation did mention some on world special ops missions. I'd also like to see in more detail the war between the Rachni and everyone. While it might come off a little Star Ship Troopers style I think the team at Bioware is more then up to the task of creating a fantastic storyline to fit the Rachni War.
And last but not least a full game dedicated to The Illusive Man and Ceberus missions. In ME2 I didn't know how to take TIM. While my liberal core is automatically against the privitization and corporitization of security, I didn't feel like I got a good enough take away on him to really judge his actions. In fact in my second play through of ME2 when I played as a renegade I really felt like he was a good guy. As it was only speculation to the bad things he had done with no real proof, I felt like he was the only man who was as much inclined to help save the galaxy as Shepard was. While I have no doubt BioWare will shed some light on The Illuive Man in ME3, I can't help but think that a game where you play as one of his best agents through some of the events that the Illusive Man set up would be very very cool. I think it would show the ripples of his effects that it has had on the whole ME universe, and I know the BioWare team could make it an incedible epic.
That's my ideas, I appoligize for the long windedness of them but I had to vent them somewhere. I look forward to reading about any ideas fellow ME fans have as well.
