I think JJ Abrams has cracked it tbh. Well apparently this theory was thought up by him.

I posted that. Also I want a Wrex DLC. I just want him as a companion for awhile. Garrus Wrex and Shepard. It's like a monster truck with legs. And getting to bring Urz on board the Normady afterwards would be cool. They could work that in.

Personally I wouldn't mind it if they went a step beyond the "ordinary" DLC and made a standalone-ish expansion, but not necessarily like what Awakening was to Dragon Age (although I wouldn't mind). I think an XBLA-format game, like Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, (basically a big prologue-demo), would be the perfect way to bridge ME2 to ME3.

Is that you Harbinger? I believe a standalone DLC, tho crazy sounding, would be AWE-inspiringly-SOME! Case zero was a great idea and worked well enough. ME would benefit greatly from XBLA releases, the PSN too could pick up on this once the game is released on PS3.

I do however believe that bioware wouldn't want to make such a big DLC/Expansion, so far it's been 2 hours tops for each dlc, for it to be long enough as a stand-alone/Expansion, it wouls have to be 8-10 hours, which i don't see happening.

But once again I have to emphesize on the fact that it's a great idea nonetheless. ;)

I don't think they'll make a Wrex DLC, and this is why i think so:

SPOILERS

Wrex is alive only of you played ME1 and decided not to kill him on virmire.

All the players that never played ME1 and never imported a ME1 save in ME2 have never seen Wrex, and for all those players (I don't know how many) reuniting the clans on tuchanka for NPC they barely have talked to will not be that interesting.

Maybe a Krogan story DLC that involves Grunt, and in wich Wrex is important only IF he is alive in your game would be better, but there's again a problem.

In many games some or all the team mated might be dead. In one of my games grunt died in the suicide mission for example.

Liara was easier becouse she is alive in any game, even after the suicide mission

Same thing goes for Ash/Kaidan, so i can smell next DLC...

Has anyone heard about the next DLC (After the Shadow Broker which was in September), I have a few Ideas about what it is most likely going to be about.

Did anyone notice on the Shadow Brokers Video Terminal that a Cerberus agent was speaking to Captain Anderson? (Maybe a double agent, spying on Shepard's Involvement with Cerberus)

But that's probably for Mass Effect 3.

But without the multitude of bugs and glitches and texture issues. And it's actually incorporated into the main game.

I think an expansion would be good, especially one bridging the gap between ME2 and ME3.

I don't think that there is going to be any new DLC-s... I have spoken with the EA representative on the Budapest Game Show, and he said, that the DLCs weren't very successful (a lot of people did not buy them).

So the DLC's have been getting progressively bigger, hence more money is being poured into their production, all the while they're not selling well? I don't think I buy that.

I hardly believe this is the case. 2 weeks ago, LotSB was still in the "Top 5 Hot Games" list at IGN.

So we're supposed to just take your word, that you spoke with an EA representative who told you that they weren't successful? Yeah... With all of the fans, not just on this site either, screaming for more DLC, it's obviously not successful.

Bioware even said themselves that LoTSB was the beginning of the bridging content. Beginning, not the end of the DLC's. So either you're lying, or the guy you talked to has no idea what he's talking about.

Can't lie...another Tuesday passes and no new "news"...I am dissappointed. I have been hoping that we would at least hear about what they are working on next for us by now...whether it was an alternate appearance pack, bridging dlc or full on expansion - just something that said, "Hey we think you guys will be excited about what is next for DLC!" would be great. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh...maybe next week.

You are aware that it is like what only 11am-ish over in Edmonton right now?

Still plenty of time for them to say something (if they have anything to say that is)

From a marketing perspective you're probably not going to hear about any new DLC until Mass Effect 2 PS3 is released. BioWare already said they were slowing down the release of content, and with their new game to be announced at VGA plus ME2 PS3 there's no real reason to talk up new DLC packs just yet.

There's more DLC on the way. You'll just have to wait. Best not to count the days :P.

Bull ****.....Even Bioware said that their DLCs have been very sucesfull. They are already planning to release new appearance pack. This is a bag of crap.Stop lying to ppl......

Well considering the fact the many modders can create better content than the first appearance pack in their freetime I would guess that such thing doesn't cost very much and doesn't require many sales to make it a financial success.

Because I am feeling pessimistic today - on the next page, after mentioning ME3 RM says:

"That might have been what I was talking about. There's a whole range of different things. My answer didn't say anything about DLC. We just haven't announced anything on Mass for the future."

www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-11-05-bioware-doctors-talk-ea-louse-mass-effect-3-swtor-interview

Sounds to me as if he is talking about ME 3 or this ominous new game, everybody is panicking about.

Well in comparison to ME they've already done more 'story content' than they did for the original, so it ain't as if we can say they didn't do that. But I do think we'll definitly see at least one more 'story' DLC before ME3 is released that will help 'bridge' the gap more between where ME2 ended and where ME3 will start.

The cruelty and genius of bioware knows no bonds!!! They leave as to suffering from withdrawal symptom for lack of DLC, not giving us a hint of what there is to come.Laughing at our cries for more. Probably, they are doing this so when they are finally release something we wont hesitate to pay any price for it. Diabolical!!!
