We know the next DLC will be somewhat similar to Lair of the Shadow
Broker, a bridging DLC. It made me think, one of the qualms I have with
ME2 is how small, and uneventful (compared to what I'd optimally want)
hub worlds are, particularly Omega which I thought was the coolest with
Ilium, arguably the biggest and most satisfying one. Lair of the Shadow
Broker gave even more life into Ilium, I'd love for further bridging DLC
to take place in such hub worlds and make us explore other areas, show
us other sides of the planets with cool quests with twists like what we
recently got.
And it reminds me of Omega again, besides what I've
already told, I always found Aria to be a very cool character and -
along Omega itself - fit with the overall mood and feel of ME2. Darker,
the Terminus systems, THE place of the outlaws and gangs, Aria being the
one who managed to 'own' Omega for some time now, locked up in her
club, the ideal place for dirty happenings such station would encourage,
she has confidence and attitude, badass. I think it's a shame we don't
get more of her, more missions or something, work for her. A bridging
DLC dealing with her strugglings in Omega (considering you already
helped her a bit and gained a bit of her trust) and/or bad happenings
(which still relates to you working with Aria, would be awesome, see us
see some real Omega action. We got poisoned by a xenophobic bartender,
almost went into a firefight with batarians while getting inside
Afterlife being the most representative happenings of Omega, but I feel
we should see more. I remember reading Ascention, the way Omega was
depicted seemed a little more hostile, walking in the streets being
dangerous, a bar owner hanging the head of one of his victims on the
wall and how groups of people could just enter someone and threaten to
tear the place down. It feels like Omega has more to tell, hopefully. As
a side note, having Aria as a squad mate in ME3 would be awesome.
Otherwise since there's likely more than another one coming - they spoke of a
round of bridging DLC - the Citadel is an obvious one, even more
considering it being relatively small in the game, showing other areas
would be neat. Tuchanka could be cool too but the least of my concerns.
Maybe the Quarian fleet? I'd love to spend some more time there.
But seriously, as much as I like the characters, what I want is DLC that
ensures we get more of the universe, of the place we visit and people
we meet, cool vistas and such. Like I said, I love the characters, but
the reason I love ME so much is the whole universe, so I want to sure to
visit some places a character oriented DLC wouldn't work so well with.
As much as I like Wrex, it would probably be on Tuchanka, and like I
said, I'd rather have 10 DLC on Omega and 5 on
the Citadel or the Migrant Fleet, as I think these places have far more
to offer than a giant wasteland - don't get me wrong, I still like the
place a lot. Same with Kaiden or Ashley - it wouldn't work anyway as
some people wouldn't even be able to play it with their character, and
what would they do on places like Omega or the Migrant Fleet?
