I would prefer a mission that is not acquired through a (former) party member. There's got to be more to life than recruiting and helping squad mates. ;) Maybe investigate some new way to defeat the Reapers? Lair of the Shadow Broker hinted at such a thing. Granted, it's more likely that will be one of the story arcs for ME3.

Since its a trilogy, I doubt they can squish how krogans became united, how quarians and geth solve the problem, how the rachni come back

etc etc. In just 1 game, PLUS defeating the reapers.

Those will be the bridging dlc's. Wrex, Quarians/geth, rachni......

Now thing is.... what happens if you killed the queen. I mean, letting the rachni live, is a big force... the rachni once were as powerful as the salarians, and asari combined, so tey have to have a dlc..... I think,

About the Krogans, Quarians and Geth. They don't need to squish that into one game, as the foundations, plus some, have already been set in motion in ME2. Also, remember, the ME games have 40+ hours of gameplay, and Bioware is/are amazing storytellers. That said, these stories are too big for DLC.

Wrex and the Rachni will not be DLC because it was so easy to ruin that choice. They won't release DLC that half the players can't even use.

Just kind of jumping in the discussion...but I wouldn't be suprised if not a lot of people bought LoTSB, because not a lot of people buy DLC to begin with...

Yes, because a lot of people DON'T want to take down the Shadow Broker with their own two hands.Posted Image

And a lot of people are broke (like me) and can't afford the extra expenditures right now. And a lot of people finished the game back in January or February (like me) and just stopped paying attention, waiting for the big announcement that will hopefully be coming next Saturday.

I was about to post something similar, but it's already been said.  So I quote it and bold the important bits.  Hooray.

If that were true then LotSB wouldn't be on the top downloaded list on XBL Marketplace, but it is on top downloaded list. Therefore alot of people must have bought it.

Did I say anything about people not wanting to buy LoTSB because of a lack of interest? No.

For the amount of people who bought ME2, I wouldn't be surprised if only a fraction bought LoTSB.

Not if the amount of people who download extra content isn't as high as people who own Mass Effect 2, or even own a 360.

Not a lot of people buy DLC? Really?

Okay thats %100 false...TONS and TONS of people buy DLC....note the reason that nearly every game that does well in sales these days has DLC...some games even going far as requiring the purchase of DLC to finish the story.

I would be willing to bet MOST people who consider themselves hardcore ME fans have LOTSB if not at least ALL of the story DLC

I am not even nearly as hardcore as MOST of the posters I see on here but I ever I own

Bring Down the Sky

Pinnacle Station

Kasumi Memories

TLOSB

Overlord

Firepower..

Yeah right, but not everyone is a hardcore fan. For the amount of people who bought Mass Effect 2, I would be surprised if more than half purchased LoTSB.

And yeah you might not be 25+ play throughs hardcore crazy...but if you part of a fan sight, then you are more hardcore than most.

I think that Ashley deserves a follow-up.  You chose Liara, but others chose Ashley.  I think both choices can be rewarded.  You're gloating because you got your reward, but not for those who made a different choice than you.

I sincerely hope Bioware at least considers revisiting Ashley. It is all about preference and I think the Mass Effect universe is better for having a character like Ashley around who exhibits a very human reaction to the alien species.  I very much doubt anyone on these boards could believe that racism no longer exists in the real world.  One of the redeeming qualities about Ashley is that despite her obvious prejudiced overtones in ME1, she became more educated about dealing with alien species from working with Shepard and this changed her  perception somewhat if you reasoned with her even though she kinda bounced back during Shepard's two year absence.

I think that if she returned somehow, she could be a shining example of how people who initially think like her can grow beyond her prejudicial attitude.  Even if Bioware doesn't, I doubt there will ever be another character like her created in the Mass Effect universe.

At this point it pretty much seems the obvious....There was Liara...Now obviously it would make sense for the next dlc..or a future dlc...to in fact be about Ashley or Kaiden depending on ME1s actions you took.

No she doesn't. Know why? Because Liara could not have died in ME1. That's why there's DLC for her. Because everyone who's played the game can enjoy it. Regardless of whether they like Liara, the option is there. The same cannot be said for the other two. Assuming a 50/50 split on that decision, bringing out DLC for Kaiden/Ashley would instantly alienate half their players, who find it impossible - not just distasteful - to play.

EDIT - Quoted the wrong person. Fixed.

I think the only way an Ashley/Kaidan DLC would work is if they had the exact same DLC mission and the only difference was who you were doing it for, save for some possible voice acting and text changes.

I think the problem with ME sells is the piracy and non multiplayer, but I really think pc piracy is stealling sells on x360, Bioware should only announce a pc version of ME3 if they get the objective sells on consoles...

Piracy is just as bad on the xbox 360, it was just last christmas Microsoft had to ban nearly 1 million modded Xbox's (note those banned xbox's are still able to play Mass Effect 2).  So if you think Bioware should only announce a pc version of ME 3 after the console version then the same should be said for the Xbox version as well.

In fact if you want to take that attitude then the only version Bioware should release is the PS3 version since piracy is still minimal on the PS3.  So there you go if you think the PC version should be held back then you should also think the 360 version should be held back as well ..... or do you only think the PC version should be held back because it doesn't affect you ?

I don't know why people are jumping to conclusions that the DLC didn't sell.  There is a clear logical reason why there is currently NO DLC and that is they are waiting to get the PS3 version out of the way.  If they announce DLC now they wouldn't be able to release it till AFTER the PS3 version is out the door (at least 6 weeks away yet).  We will get more DLC but it has to wait till after the PS3 version has been released so they can sell it to PC/PS3 and Xbox users.
