Bioware keeps saying that there's more DLC coming, and that we shouldn't be asking the question because they've already announced that there'd be more DLC. But I still think it's a legitimate question to ask if there will be more DLC. Bioware doesn't have the best track record in promises when it comes to DLC. If I remember correctly, KotOR was promised a lot of DLC, and all we got was one little planet to buy some extra supplies. And then ME 1 was a big disappointment with only 2 DLCs, and one of them being complete crap.

Still, I do believe Bioware when they say more is coming. It got off to a good start, with some real quality DLC missions. It's been a while since the last one though....

Wait for ME2 for the PS3 comes out before worrying whether or not more DLC is coming. They don't want to gice the PS3 owners anymore free DLC.

That's actually a good point. It would make sense for them to wait until the PS3 is out.

Then that PS3 version of ME2 better be released asap. When is it coming out 2 months from now?

You people really need to pay mroe attention. I'm glad you're happy and all, but me and otehr BioWarians (liek Jesse Houston off the top of my head) have said this before. Pretty much after Lair of the Shadowbroker came out and everyone asked "is this the end?". We said, no there is more coming then, and we're still saying there is more DLC coming.

Please, try to keep up.

Chris, this just made my day.
Thank you!

Sure. Let's make the 360 and PC ME2 owners wait for the PS3 release. I mean why give the fans who already supported the game by buying the game any thing ahead of the ps3 owners.

Oh quitcher****in.  If they release any more DLC before the PS3 release, then they would pretty much be obligated to include it in the release (and then you would be in here complaining about the PS3 people getting for "free" something that you had to pay for).  It makes more sense this way.

Try to be a little more Zen, people.

Whoever he is, I don't think he can reach the Normandy.

Back on topic; DLC speculation:
Kaiden/Ashley DLC mission,
Wrex DLC mission,
And what I had been expecting, as promised by Balak: the Batarian rebellions. I figured that'd give Shep something to do while he waits to save the galaxy, again.

Why would they be obliged to include the DLC for free? They can release the DLC on the PS3 a few months after the PS3 ME2 release. All I am saying is give something to the fans who have been loyal to the series so far, and not make them wait for any late comers.

agreed. we already have to wait for me3 because ps3 is getting a simultaneous release. does everyone realize how long it's taken them to port me2 to ps3?

If it's not going to be a huge element in regards to ME3, I'd like to see a DLC involving Dark Matter which is referenced multiple times in ME2.

They'd be obliged to release it for the same reasons people complain about release-day DLC.  If it's already done, why not include.  Ironic that these complaints come from idiots who don't understand how games and disc space work.  Remember, 90% of all people are stupid; the rest are dumber than that.

As I said before, we will likely see an announcement probably sometime in the next few weeks.  Mass Effect 3's announcement needs some time to simmer as word of its release spreads.  Plus the next couple of weeks are a vacation for most with the Holidays and New Year.  If I had to guess, the new DLC will be announced in January.

Also with Dragon Age 2 being released in March, I expect to see some sort of exclusive DLC for Mass Effect 3 included in the game, much akin to Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 2.

Ok. But exactly how long does it take to release more alt costumes? I would be just happy to get the last nine alts for Christmas. They should have had the other nine alts released by now anyways.

A free or cheap dlc coming out for Christmas is always a possibility, but it'd probably only be a small weapon or costume pack. I'm mainly focusing on DLC like LotSB.

I don't think they would give us any free DLC.I mean sure maybe some cheap costume packs or weapon packs, but what I really want is more actual gameplay/storyline dlc.

A red herring fishing mini game DLC, we all know how much reapers love the taste of fish. And in preperation for ME3, stock up on the red herring similar to the way mining resources goes, mix in some rat poison, and feed it directly to the reapers. War No More.

I would love to see a DLC that not only helps to fill in the gaps between ME2 and ME3, but also help rekindle your ME romance... I, for one, was quite faithful to Kaidan in ME2 regardless of the fact he was a total ass on Horizon >__<

On a more serious note though, since we are more than likely going to be visiting Earth in ME3, albeit a destroyed one. Why not add in some DLC so that we can visit it pre-reaper attack. The possibility of Shepard somehow having to decide whether Earth bites the dust or not in ME3, could be heavily influenced by what happens in the ME2 DLC.

For Example: In the DLC you get to Earth and decide to buy a house that you and your loved one will move into after the war with the reapers is over for some well deserved peace (and babymaking). Yet when you pop in ME3 you are faced with the decision to race to Earth to defend it, or race somewhere else, potentially getting your house destroyed on Earth. Making your decision a lot harder than just " oh im not selfish, I'll sacrifice Earth in order to save everyone else."

Horrible example but I think it will strike a few chords.

One of the developers said not to worry, and that they havent forgotten Kaiden or Ashley.

So fingers crossed for Kaiden and Ashley DLC.

It could be that a reason the next piece of DLC is taking a while is that they have to do the voice acting for two characters. That and that they want it released to the PS3.

Just my opinion though no need to go spreading it around. lol

Dark energy. Dark matter is actually something totally different.

:-/ I know BioWare is working on DLC, but the wait is killing me. The longest DLC wait we've had was 2 months and 23 days between Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker. It's now been 3 months and 6 days, or about half a month longer, and nothing has even been announced. And due to marketing reasons, they can't really release it before the PS3 release of ME3 on January 18th. That's 4 months and 1 day after LotSB.

But the thing is, it can't really be day 1 DLC, either! Because otherwise PS3 fans would complain, saying they were gouged or something. So we're actually talking AT LEAST 2 weeks after the PS3 launch. That's 4 and a half months after LotSB at the minimum! I mean, BioWare had the perfect opportunity to announce a new DLC before the ME3 trailer, or the following Monday (today) when everyone got back from the weekend and could upload a teaser video for those whose attention had been drawn by the ME3 announcement. Both opportunities were passed up. They're not gonna upload a teaser for Christmas, either. Of that you can be sure; people want actual stuff on Christmas. Even putting up the teaser at any point after that can ****** off PS3 fans.

And then if you're looking at an early February release, some people will complain that it's a "Valentine's DLC only if you picked Ash or Kaiden." Just seems like no matter how it's cut, we're looking at a very long wait for this DLC for artificial reasons. And I just hope that the DLC team uses ALL of that time to make this twice as big as even LotSB (since the wait is about twice as long).

Writing and recording dialogue for two characters shouldn't slow down the release window since the longest part of the work is making art assets. All the recording can be done in a single day, and the writer is usually the first person who finishes work in a project anyway.

Can we just have a little N7 mission or something for Christmas? Pwetty please, BioWare? :-Pz
