I seriously doubt we'll go to earth or see that guy before Mass Effect 3 but I'm pretty sure we'll have some kind of story-driven bridging DLC before ME3.....though not without plenty of prior announcements. Now I just wish they could release something small, quick and unnannounced for the hollidays like an armor or an alternate appearence pack or something else similarly small and cool.

I think that a great idea for new DLC is to expand the Citadel. I was dissapointed with the area of the Citadel you could visit in Mass Effect 2, as I know many other gamers were too. I think that a new DLC should be set in a new, never before seen area of the Citadel. Also, I know many gamers were dissapointed in the lack of the Council in Mass Effect 2, with them having very little screen time. This DLC could also provide a way to change this and give the Council more to do.
Also, any future DLC MUST include Wrex as a squad member!

the only other thing i can think of dlc story wise is legion returning to the veil and commanding a geth fleet

I think another thing that could add to this collection of unique experiences in DLC is a NORMANDY DOGFIGHT IN SPACE DLC package. This is simply because this pack would offer the chance to:
1.PILOT THE NORMANDY
2.DOGFIGHT WITH THE NORMANDY
3.PROVIDE EPIC SPACE BATTLE SEQUENCES
4.PILOT THE NORMANDY!!!

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you just said. The biggest blunder Bioware could make in ME3 is to have a completely new cast of characters as new squadmates (IMO, it was one of the bigger plot blunders in ME2 seeing as the entire Reaper threat took a backseat until the last few minutes). Being able to use teammates from either ME1 or ME2 would be the best possible outcome as far as I am concerned.

As for DLC, I would (like almost everyone else it seems) love a VS DLC (or even an expansion pack) seeing how little attention they got in the main ME2 experience.

I think that in Mass Effect 3 you should have all your old team from both Mass Effect 1 + 2. I agree that you shouldn't have to recruit a whole new team but I would like the see some new squad members appearing. I think that the best way to do this possibly could be with DLC, like Zaeed and Kusami. This would mean that if you don't want the new members you don't have to and it won't affect the story in any way, but if you do want them then you can.

As much as I want to see an Ashley/Kaidan DLC, I would also like to see a DLC that involves Shep's background. In ME2 Shep's background almost means nothing when it comes to the story. For example my main Shep is a war hero and spacer. Now in ME1 a spacer background meant you have parents and could talk to your mother in one of the missions. I really enjoyed this scene because it made my Shepherd have a real sense of history and makes them feel more human. Im sure the same can be said for the other backgrounds. I don't really know what happens with the colonist background, but the Earth born has something to do with childhood gang friends or something like that. Anyways, In ME2, the only effect the background had was some short story in the news and an e-mail, which add almost nothing to the experience.



So how would a background DLC work? Basically a mission where all the variables are influenced by your background. An example would be a Alliance ship is infested with geth, and Shep boards the ship to help. For my Shep, the ship would be captained by her mother, if your a colonist then some former CO who always hated you is commanding it, and so on. This is just an example, Im sure if Bioware wanted to make this DLC they could come up with a better plot.



Anyway, I don't know if someone has already mentioned this idea, but I would really like to see something involving Shep's background. If not, then PLEASE make up for it in ME3!

I agree on having a DLC staring Wrex.

As for not seeing the Citadel, I think BW kept it a secret to hold off for ME3.

Maybe BioWare is planning to put something DLC-like under the christmas-tree?

Otherwise I hope there won't be another one until February 2nd 2011(have to write exams until then).

We'll probably get something that complex during the summer. Right now I'll be happy with a nice add on. Like a costume pack, weapons pack or even the PS3 interactive comic as DLC for my 360.

But to be honest I'm at a stage where I feel all the focus should go to making ME3 the greatest game of all time.

Don't forget that Retribution takes place a year after ME2. It's possible that some DLC could be set before then.

I wish we could play as wrex uniting the Krogan mainly because i have a minor obsession with Genghis Khan and so any kind of uniting a broken warrior tribal race sounds badass to me

I'm gonna ask this again: does anybody REALLY want to have one mission be COMPLETELY different than every other mission in terms of controls, physics, and other gameplay elements and have you able to fly the Normandy? If it's put in so that it's accessible, it'll be a shallow experience. If it's put in so it's deep, only a few people will be able to actually beat the mission.

Someone said they wanted a DLC that had epic battles. I would love that! like a mass scale fight with a huge battlefield and having to secure certain objectives. When they mentioned epic battles i just think of giant maps and certain objectives like in Star Wars Battlefront. That would kinda be cool if they could work something of mass scale into dlc. However, at this current time my heart is set on past squadmate dlc.

Pretty much after Lair of the Shadowbroker came out and everyone asked "is this the end?". We said, no there is more coming then, and we're still saying there is more DLC coming.

Why? It happens with prequels all the time. And, we don't really know anything about the plot from 3 minutes of video. We have assumptions, but that's about it.
