first I'd like to know how many DLC's there gonna be? 1-2 (maybe even 3?) before ME3?

Ideal would be if the last ME2 DLC would launc 1-2 weeks before ME3 release :)

WHERE THE HELL IS THE NEW DLC??

Chris wrote that we should pay more attention. More attention to what?? To 1min trailer?? To some news announcement on the mai page?? COME ON!!!!

Since 3 months there has been NOTHING, except for loud shouting that MORE DLC IS COMING SOON.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU TOO BIOWARE!!!

PS.

WHERE AND WHEN IS THE NEW DLC???

yelling like this is not helping. If there was a new dlc coming, it would have been before the holidays. Maybe a slight chance that it is between christmas and new-years eve, but I dont think so. other then that, I think that January would be more realistic.

Just be patient, new DLC will arrive. They will not stop after the good reviews and credit they got after LotSB. And there promise of more DLC on fill the gap.

I predict they'll release more during or after ME2 PS3 release but being wrong is easy.

They're probably waiting till after the PS3 release so there won't be pressure to include it with the other DLCs.

@Jaeger, unfortunately you can't please them all, and he's none too pleased. No one at BW would make a positive comment regarding...that. Some people take for granted a lot things that never would've existed 10 years ago, and come off as infantile... DLC is going to be ready when it's ready. Would you really want to buy a burger in half the time, but have it all under-cooked and mushy? Alright, that was a bizarre analogy, but you get what I mean.

I'm going to guess we'll see some sort of "minor" DLC- like maybe a weapon, appearance or armor pack- not long after the PS3 release (maybe a month) and then a "major" (Shadow Broker-level, or at least Overlord-Level) DLC within 4 months of the PS3 release. Doubt that there will be any releases before PS3 release.

And if there is they will probably be really minor (maybe a gag "Thane wears a Santa Hat" alternate costume), and free through Cerberus network. Wait, Thane wearing a Santa Hat? That'd be HILARIOUS.

"Go down chimney. Not used for weeks. Place presents under tree. Artificial, no smell. New Blasto holo-ornament. Cookies. Sweet, but rough textured. Milk. Still cold, nice touch. Exfiltrate back through Chimney. Reindeer waiting."

As for actual future DLCs, I'd like to get a "oncoming storm" sort of feel in them. I mean, those Reapers heading to Earth aren't going to just show up one morning without anybody noticing them on the way, unless they have some sort of special wormholes or something So even if it isn't the actual focus of the DLC , I think it'd be nice to at least have off-hand comments about it. Maybe a news report that a automated Asari probe studying the Galactic Rim has stopped transmitting, that "mechanical errors are suspected". Stuff like that.

I'll leave the writing completely to BioWare's awesome writers. This is just some deranged ideas for missions.

Simple:

* An area where Shepard and his team are Warring Without Weapons: bring biotics. If Shepard is not biotic, he'll take a toke of Red Sand and suffer for it later so as not to die on the spot.

* A no-shooting-whatsoever mission, a la The Negotiator. Paragons get to be Kevin Spacey. Renegades get to be Samuel L. Jackson. Bring maxed out meters!

Complicated:

*  A semi-Rail Shooter where Joker takes the Normandy (which is not armed for atmospheric combat) over a battlefield full of gunships and tanks with the bay doors open. Shepard and his team use improvised cover by the doors next to inexhaustible power cells and a gun rack - spam those heavy weapons!

* A blatant rip-of of Three Hundred - otherwise known as Thirteen; ALL THIRTEEN CHARACTERS GOING TO TOWN ON AN APPROACHING ARMY!

** Combine the previous two! Thirteen characters! Unlimited ammo! Swap Shepard's conventional kit for all your heavy weapons at once. "Everything in that general direction must die!"

Bug-fsck crazy awesome:

* (Personal favorite!) A shooting section in a badly damaged ship with wildly malfunctioning artificial gravity. Shepard and his team run all over the walls and ceiling, using "vertical cover" - enemies enter through holes in the hull from every angle, and cover from some is not from others. Think in three dimensions or die.

As a side note, I hope someone at BioWare is a fan of Zero Punctuation: Mass Effect 3 needs JETPACKS!

I agree about the oncoming storm. Even if the DLC's aren't focused on the upcoming threat, I'd like to see some clues/hints of what's to come, similar to what you mentioned with the new report.

I'm just still waiting for the Kaiden/Ashley DLC to come out. We already have about 606 members for the Kaidan and Ashley DLC Support Group so we've already proven that there would be support as well as demand for it. I know you won't let us down Bioware! :)

I think there will be some minor DLC before Christmas, like a Christmas Tree on the Normady or a christmas sock in the captain's quarters, or at least a chimney in the C&C fo the Santa.

Then, between the Christmas and New Year's Eve, maybe something bigger comes out, like warm socks for Shepard and his squadmates or a new colour for incisor rifle.

And all this for, close to free, 1200 MPs.

Merry Christmas.

Nicest would be: A sudden appearance of christmas ornaments on the Normandy secretly downloaded from cerberus network (with an easy on-off switch though). We have to be on-line anyways to make the DLC work, so, that would be a funny/nice use of a rather unpleasant and unavoidable fact...

You people really need to pay mroe attention. I'm glad you're happy and all, but me and otehr BioWarians (liek Jesse Houston off the top of my head) have said this before. Pretty much after Lair of the Shadowbroker came out and everyone asked "is this the end?". We said, no there is more coming then, and we're still saying there is more DLC coming.

Please, try to keep up.

i lold

seriously though, bioware's devotion to this series has been fantastic. though i own the xbox version, i am a sony person myself, and i plan to buy the ps3 version  largely because it includes the dlc (which i haven't bought yet), and after playing the game through again, i plan to get whatever else bioware releases dlc-wise.

I am hoping for some DLC swirling around the events of the Retribution book. I'd love to see our ties with Cerberus get very, very sticky. And... I'm thinking that will happen soon.

My guess is that we'll get some sort of DLC on the PS3 release date. Bioware knows how to keep its fanbase happy... or at least sated. They'll AT LEAST announce a DLC on Jan 31st--if not actually release one. But... that's pure speculation.

I'd kinda like an Aria DLC that transitions her from pirate queen to potential squad mate for me3, maybe the reapers attack omega and you help her flee the station or the other mercenary groups band together to take her down like they tried with Archangel.
