Yup, from what I understand, Cerberus Network will be going on a hiatus of sorts when ME2 one year anniversary comes around. After that, Cerberus Networks will only have three more weeks where they will regularly update it. One week shall be prior to the next DLC release and the other two shall be preceding the release of Mass Effect 3.

It's going to be prior to A DLC release. Not necessarily "THE" dlc release or "the next" dlc release.

Also, from what Bioware has told us, the interactive comic is going to be PS3 exclusive (as required by Sony), we get to play ME1 instead. Genesis was a rumor prior to the official announcement of the PS3 release, so I wouldn't read too much to it - might have been just a codename for the comic, or something just plain wrong. Also, PS3 users will know who Ashley, Kaidan and Wrex are, thanks to said  comic.

Where do you guys make up this stuff? :)

It's just optimistic thinking to believe there will be more then one big DLC at this point, if there was more then one big DLC coming why only have news before one of the next DLCs?

I doubt we will see any new DLC for Mass Effect.

Wrong.

There is still more Mass Effect 2 DLC coming.

When?

I think it would be good to have dlc which would be after suicide mission in timeline. Maybe about some disagreement between shepard and cerberus. Our new friend shadow broker could take him out and give shepard full access to collector's tech. could be good set up for me3 unless me3 continues from where me2 ended without time jump forward.

Considering it is suppose to be a big DLC then I'm still hoping for something in the range of story, and maybe a few more weapons and skills. It was nice to able to use Advanced Training to aquire the grenades even if the element zero cost was steep. But that's still not enough.

Also, it's most likely more than one more DLC on the way as previously mentioned by someone in this thread, the Appearance Pack "1" has already been released but not a "2". If even it is only a cosmetic thing it adds more flavor in the game. I'd hope for at least one more weapon and armor pack as well but I will take what I can get. Last year flew by and I can imagine that Holiday 2011 Q4 will be here before we know it so we can enjoy ME3.

The release of a second appearance pack is influenced by the success of the first one. And I have my doubts that it sold well. I found the prices to steep my self compared to what you got for it.

Yeah, the first alternate appearence pack was not very popular. I don't think we should expect a new one (or at least a non-free one).

I'm hoping the next large DLC is announced farther out than 1 week. I remember rumors that ME2 was going to have a DLC that had grown so large it was going to be a retail release (like Awakening for DA:O). This rumor popped up prior to the VGA's, but was forgotten/discounted when ME3 was announced. I'm still hoping it is accurate. Hopefully we will hear something shortly after the PS3 release.

The first alternate appearence pack wasnt popular because bioware dropped the ball on it. It should had more than 3 outfits, should had been better designed and should had selected better characters (if Miranda or Talia would had been in the pack it would had sold alot more). The latest post on DLC is what I expected. Bioware again fails to deliver on its initial promises....ME2 starting to feel like DA:O.....this is sad.

I'm guessing the next DLC release will be in June or something. The months will pass by fast enough.

You people really need to pay mroe attention. I'm glad you're happy and all, but me and otehr BioWarians (liek Jesse Houston off the top of my head) have said this before. Pretty much after Lair of the Shadowbroker came out and everyone asked "is this the end?". We said, no there is more coming then, and we're still saying there is more DLC coming.

Please, try to keep up.

It is so easy to "keep up" as there has been nothing said in such a long time Posted Image.

I've just put in about 170 hours in DAO Ultimate Edition and my interest in the Mass Effect series is starting to wane (simply because there is nothing new; not even tidbits to chew on).

There was a time when I eagerly scanned the forums many times a day. Now, not so much (and this game is/was one of my all time joys in life).

Time for a tidbit? Please? Posted Image

Looks like you put more time in DAO than me :P

I'm at that eagerly scanning the forums stage.  But I only got into ME shortly before Christmas.  So hopefully I got a long way to go.

If I recall, I remember from some of the early interviews that there was an idea that a DLC could up the number of levels for a player character in the game. Think that's a possibility?

I hope so. Being stuck on the same level (30) is boring.

Arena style combat for Mass Effect 2

- Bracketed Galatic Tournaments

*Faction Based Combat. Blue Suns, Eclipse, Blood Pack, Batarian Pirates, Collectors, Council Races ( Turians ) (Salarians) (Krogan) (Asari) (Vorcha) (Batarians) (Humans) (etc.........)

- Individual Rivalry Challenges

*Credit Rewards for victories

*Larger rewards for harder enemies in both individual challenges as well as bracketed championship

- Would include new landable planet or station

* adjustable enemy ratios for more competent challengers

* some additional items for puchase ie. melee damage upgrade, new weapons etc....

* new NPCs, Conversation options, plot twists, bribery, extortion

Looking for creative responses, ideas, enough people to make an impact and gain Bioware's attention to subject.

WE WANT MORE DLC.

I hope the next DLC raises the overall level cap, too.  Put it to 35 or maybe 40. Like Broken Steel in FO3.

With that you can bring up the possiblility of the devs adding a fifth talent point to all of your powers, and heck, add another power option entirely too (the screen has too much empty space underneath it, and plus the lack of powerwheel choices in ME2 compared to ME1 takes away from the experience, in my opinion).

And yes, I realize that adding 5 or 10 XP levels requires a substantial amount of time and game to accomplish, so therein lies my wishes for the next DLC to be substantial!

Indeed give us something. I grow weary off looking int the announcements section and seeing new Tali Litographs on, or new N7 hoodies on sale. Give us an announcement worth hearing.

Steep ??..........the first appearance pack was free.  It made Garrus look better, and I would have LOVED Jack's outfit had you not been forced to wear the sunglasses

More stores where I can buy new stuff like armor pieces or new weapons for all my credits that I have really no other use for would be nice. Add those kind of things in a DLC.

And I think it'd be the first time I'd be able to actually by my new weapon instead of tripping over it in a random location. Gasp!
