The people who really like kaidan like him because the things about his character that you find boring, monotone and unimpressive they find the opposite.

I like both kaidan and ash, and hate niether. but in almost all of my playthroughs kaidan is the virmire survivor.

I know I'm nutty, but I hate femshep's voice.  So in all my playthroughs I'm dude Sheppard and while Kaidan is interesting, he's not really engaging in the way that Wrex or Garrus is.  Then Tali came along as a love interest and my tepid love affair with Ash was torpedoed.

I dunno, Tali is the vulnerable young one, Wrex is the oddball deadly-serious warrior, Garrus is the buddy in the buddy cop movie, Liara is... annoying.  But Ash and Kaidan? I dunno.  To keep it on topic, I imagine that they'll appear in the next DLC.  It's a question on if the start of ME3 is about 'Getting the band back together' or if that's something that'll be assumed to have happened.

Sidenote:  Who wants DLC that makes it so that people will recognize that you actually accomplished your suicide mission after it's done?!  I mean fer serious, I wanna walk into Anderson's office and hand him the data EDI mined.  I wanna slug a turian councilor in the jaw!  Comeon peeps! :bandit:

I don't HATE the femShep voice but I prefer the male Shep voice in most of my play-throughs. As for the Virmire Survivor I like them both, each for different reasons.

I recognize that there is about zero possibility of the below happening, but I felt like getting into the Epileptic Trees game. I also couldn't be arsed to read most of the thread, so I apologize if somebody else has said this before.

Now, I know that the recent CDN story human-turian joint exercises in response to happenings on Khar'shan are probably just a reference to [insert spot of real-world geopolitical tension, e.g. North Korea, here]. I doubt it's more than a one-shot story. But I personally would be excited if it were a hint that the next DLC will have something to do with the Batarian Hegemony. We haven't seen, uh, anything from them in either game, except for BDtS, which hinted that Balak might have been working for a higher power, possibly the Hegemony. I could see scope for cooperation between the Dirty Dozen, the Hierarchy, and the Alliance against the batarians. Why would the Dirty Dozen get involved in a standard political squabble? How about the batarians' own Derelict Reaper, the Leviathan of Dis? Perfect opportunity to team Shep up with the Virmire Survivor on a specwar mission to gather more intel on the incoming Reaper threat, probably dealing with horrible batarian experiments gone wrong and lolhusks along the way.

[/wishful thinking]

Hopeful the next DLC will involve Anderson and fix the Councilor canon debate that has come up if you read Inquisition or Retribution.

I would LOVE a DLC where we mow down Batarians. My Shep is a Colonist. Time for some retribution.

Yeah, because every Batarian in the galaxy is an anti-human terrorist and deserves, just like everybody who's muslim is a terrorist.
I still don't see why so many people hate Batarian's. Most the ones who aren't in Balak's crew were alright imo.
(Tarak was a douche though)

I think that would be the best case scenario for the next DLC, finally get to settle with the Batarians, get to smooth things out with Ash/Kaiden, get an awesome mission to go on that involves the reapers and maybe how they get to Earth, join with the alliance again like everyone suspects, and more. It would settle and set up a lot of things for ME3.

Oh, I see; now people of the islamic faith prowl the Terminus Systems, launch missiles on colonists and sick their pet vorcha on small children. How dare you, sir or madam!

I'm just relating an example to show how ridiculious the prejudice is, considering how few Batarian's we met. And I haven't seen any Batarian's with Vorcha anyway.

I'm sure the next dlc will deal with how exactly shep ends up back in alignment with the Alliance. Ash or Kaiden will most likely be in this dlc too but as I care little for them now I hope they explain themselves convincingly and are actually sorry if they even regret what they said and I have the option to accept that and have them come with me or work w/ me in the future or I can say no you can't come w/ me on my ship but I will still work with you in future you just can't be on my crew sort of thing.

It's not that I want to avoid the whole my sheps heart was broken on virmire so she romanced Garrus so if Kaiden joins up I'll have a man fight but after him calling me a traitor I don't want him on my ship but even though I don't want him there if he does need sheps help for some reason in 3 she will still show up and help him. It's not like he calls and she'll leave him to die. Basically stemming from Horizon she can't be friends or lovers w/ him anymore but she will still work professionally with him in a limited capacity.

As for some DLC announcements - I hope to have some more news soon. I'm still working with legal and mktg to figure out when and what we can talk about.

I, too, support the possibilities of VS DLC and destruction/takeover of Cerberus DLC (destruction for Paragons, takeover for Renegades).

I know it's crazy early to suggest ME3 DLC, but I think a good ME3 DLC would be one in which Shepard & Friends get to take a vacation. Because after saving the galaxy from an army of hundreds of Cthulu spaceships, they will need a vacation.

Okay, that was kind of a joke, but it could be an interesting starting point.  Maybe their vacation could prove to be only the beginning of some sort of awesome adventure.

Im wishing its gonna be some sort of Alliance DLC. So we can back to them if we wanted and also to right some wrongs with Ashley/kaiden and continue the romance there if thats what u had with them.

Honestly, I think that they are making an "endgame" DLC that will tie up your saves in a neat little bow, and prepare it for ME3.

And you may need the worst dregs in the galaxy to help fight the reapers, I said "may", I've a funny feeling Bioware are heading in the direction where good/evil morals won't mean squat, everyone living creature will be needed in the battle for the survival of the galaxy, actually it's more I hope that's the direction they take, even the paragon shep will need to get the aid of the galaxies scum, I'm not taking any chances, I'm creating a 50/50 ren/par Shepard.

I want DLC in which Sheppard and Jacob "get loud and spill some drinks on the Citadel". Bonus points if Sheppard agrees to break dance for the team once s/he gets drunk enough!

Picking up on Martin's idea: they should make DLC which recreates Sheppard's fight on Elysium during the Skyllian Blitz. A bunch of slavers decide to prey on a resort, thinking they'll have easy pickings on a bunch of rich, fat tourists, only to come up against Sheppard. How cool would that be? They could through in some vacation time too, as well as a new bathing suit outfit for Sheppard.

And what would people with Sole Survivor or Earthborn Shepard's do with said DLC?
