they are probably delayinng the finish product to charge you 800 for em. and say "well it took a long time so we need to charge more"

the more somthing very simple takes... the more likely is just to squeeze more mp based on the "time" delay"

Sad to day, but I'd probably pay for it. I know you're far too cynical to dish out the cash but I think I'm just the sucker that drives them.

the reason why its taking so damn long is because people ****ed about the glasses so much that bioware was like "they're not going to appreciate it so why give them anymore?" then about a month ago people started making threads saying that they want AAP #2 and such so bioware is reconsidering it and to prevent anymore ****ing they asked us, in a thread that i can nolonger find, what we'd prefer to have in it... and probably because it was one of the more thrown out there requests one where you can see tali's face and such it might be in there and then people are going to **** and complain about it being revealed in an anti-climatic display and i'm going to sit-back and laugh at all of the tali-mancers getting pissed off because their over-eagerness ruined something great for them

You know I really would also love a Romance Pack and a Dialog Pack but in all honesty if they were going to make those Bioware would have to bring back all of the VA's and I can't see them doing it no matter how much some of the characters seriously need more dialog and not to mention that the Romance's are pretty weak in my opinion. The best Romance in my opinion was Tali's at least until Liara's from lotsb and I was just blown away by that one I mean I have no Idea why Bioware didn't try to make all of the Romances as well written I mean Tali's was great and all but man it was destroyed by Liara's.

How about a DLC about Shepard's past it could really expand on the actual character as well as give the player a chance to actually expierance Akuze,The Blitz or Tofan. Not to mention as well as the other option of shepard letting down his guard enough to talk about being an orphan from Earth,A Navy brat who lived aboard ships his whole life or A colony kid from Mindoir.

Ummmm....I seriously doubt that Wrex will have his own DLC...Why? because believe it or not, there are some people who actually killed him on Virmire. Meaning, any DLC that centered around him could NOT impact the overall plot of ME in a relevant way. Now an Ashley/Kaiden DLC I could see because all you have to do is make it universal and then plug in the character that is currently alive. With Wrex? Not so much (dont get me wrong, I like Wrex but one of my characters actually has him dead.) Because that would make the DLC ONLY available to some people and completely unavailable to others. I seriously doubt that EA/BioWare would release a DLC centered around a potentially dead character, and thus in essence, punishing people who chose to kill him on Virmire.

I know that no one has probably came right out and said "Let's have a Wrex DLC" but Im just squashing it before anyone gets it in their fool head that it could happen (saw mention in here of someone saying something about if they saw Wrex attached to a DLC description they'd buy it so it got me concerned lol.)

I would buy a dlc that features wrex. Hes still my favorite squad member. There are people that didnt buy the Liara dlc. It could impact the story. Still gotta get the Krogan working together. Same thing for the Rachnii, I would like to see a dlc of them as well. Cool for people that kept them around.

No, it can't because Wrex isnt alive in EVERYONE's story...Meaning that for those people who KILLED him, wouldnt be able to buy the DLC. To which BW ISNT going to do, make a DLC that is ONLY available to certain people who kept Wrex alive because in essence, that would be "punishing" those who killed him and that is NOT what they want to promote.  That's why it WILL NEVER HAPPEN lol

....I dont blame you. I was a sucker too.

I dont mind getting squeezed by some companies for products.... but I got a line.

Example: "fallout 3" "ooo magic door, let me see what another ruin I can dig through..... error, please buy a key for this dlc"...... nothing says more like "squeeze squeeze" than a magic door with a key that costs 800 mp.

heck no.

Example 2: My god, why are there 14 memory sequences, but I can't access 12-13???......
chi ching, pay x amount to access obvious ommitted content... which means i not a dlc, is just locked.

Example of GOOD dlc's.... Oblivion, shivering isles... although more of an expansion. Expensive, yes, worth it, yes too. Wizard tower... reasonable, somewhat expensive, but a nice change than to have to go all the way to guilds. reasonable.

Fallout 3. Point lookout.. nice length, nice clothing, nice story, and reasonable price.

ME1, the falling down sky w/e. Nice mission, nice look into batarian extermists. Nice armors. All in all good.

All in all. I draw the line when is "obvious" content, that is either, part of the original game but "cut out" which means the memory is in the CD, but they charge you for an unlocking code. AKA assassin's creed.

B. YOu happen to find part, yet substantial part of the code in the game, for obiously ommited, yet content that could have easily fit in. ME2 Kasumi.

C. A shooter game..... who sells you the weapons.....................................................................

Like A need for Speed coming up with 3 types of cars for the entire game, and they sell you more cars on xbox live for 180 mp.... I mean really??? 3 cars for the whole game? chi ching.

Now praise is to be given. Shadow broker, ON its own, if NO other dlc had ever been published before it, is worth the entire 800 mp. No question about it.

But since, Weapons are suppose to be part of a "rpg" game, and there was plenty of space to put kasumi in (which code has been found that she was ommited).... then no, shadow broker isn't worth 800, coz they are charging for content that should be free, or should have come in the game.

But to each his own.

IF, Bioware comes with a goty edition. I will gladly, pay 70-75 bucks, for all DLC's. I think that are all worth 10-15 bucks no questions ask, no argument from me will be heard.

But "micro"managing, is not so bad..... but you gota have common sense, once I find the "door with 800 mp key".

if they care, I care, if they dont, I dont :P

Still, shadow broker fight, really felt nice... gota and it to bio, felt nice to have a boss RPG type again. Felt like fighting saren duno why :P.... although the melee thing was just.... ackward.

I would like to see some DLC with Kahlee Sanders, Admiral Anderson and the other dramatis personae from the novels that Drew has been putting out. If you haven't read them they are very worthwhile; especially if you are a Mass Effect super freak like me.

The events from the novels weave into the games and vice versa but it would be great to actually have a piece of DLC that fully integrated the plots. I wouldn't be surprised to see characters like Kahlee, Gillian, Kai Leng and Hendel Mitra as major fixtures in ME3. Even so I want some of them sooner rather than later especially after finishing Mass Effect: Retribution. I want more as soon as I can have it because ME3 feels pretty far off still. We prolly won't see it until like Q1 2012 I bet, Q4 2011 at the soonest what with all the hubub about SW:TOR.

As much as I love many of  the characters in the games so far, in ME3 I would prefer to see them migrated to NPC status like Liara, Kaidan, Wrex and Ashley were in ME2 as opposed to DLC. I played with them, learned their stories, helped them grow (or killed them); I want to them to go on and do their own and love or hate me depending on how I handled things. It gives a greater feeling of persistance. One or two returning as playable makes some sense, especially if they were a romantic interest, but too much of that will make the story go stagnant.

I really dig how Liara's reintroduction was handled and LotSB, though a little buggy, was very gratifying. However, there was alot of prep for Liara to come back into the story. There was the comic, then actual ME2 filler quest that re-introed her with the whole hunting down the Shadow Broker angle and then the Lair DLC itself. More DLC for any of these ME1 favorites is going to start to feel forced or pandering unless it is directly influencing the story arc or in some other way maintain relevance.

Let DLC be for new content or cleaning up loose ends in the narative, not for pandering to a the fans.

I agree with you, I doubt Bioware would do DLC for a character with a variable storyline. It's already awkward enough with how ambiguously the romance choices from ME1 impact ME2.

One of my favorite things about the ME series as a whole is that they reward multiple playthroughs with the achievement system. So though your point is correct, that not everyone saved Wrex, everyone can if they want to and then play the Wrex DLC if by some ridulous happenstance it did come out. I personally don't want to see anymore DLC specific to characters, I prefer more DLC like Overlord but maybe more fleshed out..

Retribution just came out a couple moths ago, check it out if you havent. Blew through it in about 8 hours or so can't wait for more.

I like how Drew is able to have his novels coexist with the games' contunuity without spoiling it or feeling forced.

I think that the time for Overlord-like DLC is over, we will only get bridging DLC, which means every DLC will have to be connected to the main story, for bridging ME2 to ME3. Surely, some of these DLC will include some characters, maybe characters we've never seen before, like Tela Vasir in Lair of the Shadow Broker. Non necessrily squadmates.

Well, I won't say anything about any future DLC that will link ME2 with ME3,I just have an idea for one.

So,you see, first DLCs,like Zaeed and Normandy Crash Site were free, than there came a lot of big and small paid DLCs. And I think that would be very great if Bioware make a small free DLC once again. I even not ask for new missions. I,personally ask to make a DLC with some new outfits and customization for your player. For example,I play as engineer and I often use Combat Drone, but I'd like to change its colour. So that's my suggestion and hope.

alliance don't trust you-trap set by alliance to get Shepard and Normandy, you find yourself with jacob being interrogate eventually you escape then get your weapons & armor back then need rescue your crew then you have to Normandy.

Council think your crazy-trap by Council and send you alone insane asylum and where you are talking psychologist of your past eventually you escape then get your armor &weapons back then rescue people who believe reaper are real.

Problem: not everyone has or can be expected to have Lair of the Shadow Broker.

Bioware should not limit gameplay in that way.  I for one support story continuity across all story affecting dlc and not sterile chunks of content completely separate from each other.  Sure, it does suck for those penny pinching types that only want the one single dlc, but it leads to overall better presentation.

Regardless, the bridging DLCs (such as LotSB) will effect ME3 directly.  Why not include interactions between.

I fully expect something Kashley related for the next big DLC package, because that seems most fitting for bridging the gap between ME2 and ME3. And because we got a Liara centric DLC, it follows that Kaidan/Ashely will receive attention because their screen-time was even more limited in ME2. For my part, if it's on par with the quality of LotSB I'll be happy with that, even if those are my two least favorite characters in the entire series - I can't really win because I'm stuck with one of them no matter what I do.

But obviously they have their fans and they certainly took it in the junk in ME2.

When it comes to DLC in general, I'm a sucker for all things Mass Effect related and I will purchase all the extra content I can get my hands on. To me it's just money, and if I'm going to spend it on something, I'm going to spend it on my favorite entertainment because it's what brings me the most pleasure. And I don't own a cell phone.

I agree that it's a little cheesy to charge for certain things, like a code for content that all the information is there for, but you have to unlock it because it was taken out at the last minute. The sad thing is I love the game too much not to buy it anyway, because I'd rather blow the extra cash than not experience all of it.

Especially if that extra cash is put to good use, like making ME3 absolutely epic and exceeding everyone's expectations.

Editted for typos...

I want a DLC where it's just fun time for the squad of Mass Effect 2. Where they go out for a drink or something at a bar and discuss things. A huge narrative DLC with a lot of story.

The image of Joker requesting that on citadel radio dedicated to "Commander Shepard and his/her girl/guy" whilst both Shepard and the LI are on the citadel would be a fun little thing esp to see Shepards reaction to it.

Actually considering its what? Set nearly 200 years in the future... have citadel radio go "and now some classical music from 20th Century Earth" and have them start playing Metal or rap.

I wouldn't actually mind that, one of my fave quests was Thanes and there was no combat at all in it. You could have it start out with the crew having downtime and Shepard discovering something and having to investigate whilst the rest of the crew party.
