I hope it does only feature Liara. Ashley and Kaiden were pointless characters from ME1 that had pointless cameos in ME2. But BioWare will probably give them pointless cameos in ME3 too.

wrong, either kaidan or ashley have to be alive in me3, where as to everyone in me2 except for liara could die. Don' be such a hater.

I just hope that the DLC they create includes multiple items. I want some new, awesome armor for Shepard and a deep story that will really be entertaining. Maybe something involving Ashley or Kaidan.

I hope the next DLC is something based on Shep's relationship with the Alliance and the council, be it rebuilding bridges or giving them the finger and sticking with TIM and Cerberus. It would be great to see Arcturas station too. Ashley and Kaiden? Not a fan of either character, but I would still like them to be a part of the DLC. Doesn't seem right to leave things up in the air as they are, and I want to take them to task for the outburst on Horizon. When any of my Shep's see either of them again, it won't be friendly!

Just b/c you don't like a certain character doesn't automatically make them a pointless character. 

example: I don't like Tali... but is she a pointless character? No.... she is how you get evidence to prove things to the moronic council.

If this is true, than I hope it means returning of Shepard and his crew to Alliance military. :happy:

To that end I hope Shepard gets Captain military rank finally.Poor guy has been Commander for too long...

I also hope we get chance to visit Earth before Repaers damage it in ME3...

Captain Shepard? Admiral Shepard? ... none of that sounds as good as Commander Shepard. lol

Course that could be because I'm so use to hearing it. I seriously doubt Shepard will get a promotion, unless it's a very end of the game thing in ME3.

I'm thinking the next DLC is the Terminous gear made available as paid DLC after the 23rd. The message didn't say it was for PS3 only. Just that is was free for PS3 users until the 23rd when it will become paid DLC.



The next bridging DLC is yet to come though, I'm sure.

All signs point to one more like it this year before ME3 comes out. The interesting part is that nobody seems to know what it's about. Either something about the Virmire survivor, or something bridging the gap to ME3, or something that somehow accomplishes both, I guess.

Either way, I'm really looking forward to it. I just played LotSB again yesterday, and it's freakin' awesome.

It's pretty obvious this DLC will include Virmire survivor AND set up ME3 big time. Hence why we have had to wait ages for anything on it to appear.



Liara's love story was really very romantic, which is why the DLC was pretty much soley based around how things had changed, and Shepard/Liara's relationship (including her dedication to you). The shadowbroker was a good ME3 build up, but It's clear that while it served as the reason for action, Liara and Shepards relationship was the most focused element, particularly at the end.



Kaiden and Ash will be back, wether or not it as intensely romantic as LOTSB, I have my doubts though. Kaiden and Ash can't be as focused, as they both have different back stories, so it;s likely the virmire survivor has something to do with the ME3 build up, as focusing on more personal backstories will polarize the options and dev time for Bioware.

If there is VS DLC, my guess is it will focus on Shepard's relationship with the alliance and the fact that the VS is still an alliance soldier plus the shared past Shepard and the character have from ME1. So basically an expanded version of the conversation you have with him/her on Horizon. In addition to what you said about Ash and Kaidan's backstories being too different, they also don't really have much to do with their respective relationships with Shepard. And it's not like LotSB really went into Liara's pre-ME1 backstory that extensively, except, errr, wait, no spoilers forum. Anyway, I think Liara's past as a scholar of all things Prothean is brought up exactly once in LotSB. So there being little to no reference to Ash and Kaidan's backstories wouldn't be much different.

Anyway, I've always found Ash/Kaidan kinda boring, but I do think something... clearing up where Shepard stands with the Alliance these days would make for a good story. That, or a complete break with both the Alliance and Cerebus, leading to total rogue status in ME3, which I still hope is what happens.

Shepard going rogue, whilst sticking to his guns, would really appeal to me.

I don't have a clue what next DLC might be but I think Bioware might do something that involves Council somehow. They said that the story of DLCs is supposed to introduce us to ME3 but one thing is unclear to me: how can they be ready to defeat Reapers after only a couple of years? My guess is, next DLC could involve either Council or another delerict Reaper, or even Protheans. (I don't think current Council races tech could beat the Reaper invasion)

This is from page 39. Mr. Priestly, not to be rude and I do appreciate all the hard work you guys put into games for us to enjoy, but I do have a question.
Is there a date attached to that DLC? When can we expect it? My assumption is if we're going to be getting ME3 at holiday of 2011 (Christmas?) can we expect that long awaited ME2 bridge DLC by this coming summer? or earlier?

Either way, it's still been half a year. We should have at least an announcement. LoTSB took ages to release after it was announced, after all.

the next dlc should be about Shepard's origins. After being dead for so long, maybe a mission to visit Spacer Shep, or Colonist Shep visiting his home or Earthborn Shep getting jumped by his old gang should be there.
