Here's an idea: DLC for PC/Xbox that has the Collectors armor and assault rifle, so those of us that got the game before that don't have to buy another one just to get it. And maybe one that has the Blackstorm Projector gun, the sentry hood, recon visor, and umbra mask, and Terminus armor and weapon, since I'm not going out to buy a PS3 just to get that stuff. It's not like you haven't put out things like this before, the inferno armor was pre-order and now is in the equalizer pack and the incisor sniper rifle was DDE only and is now in the aegis pack.

ugh... we don't need any more weapons and armor or appearance packs.... STORY PLEASE.

Preferably involving Ashley Williams!!!

Ugh... We don't need any DLC involving characters who might be dead in different people's playthroughs.

Well, guess we don't need ME3 then right? ... Or it will only feature Liara....

I hope it does only feature Liara. Ashley and Kaiden were pointless characters from ME1 that had pointless cameos in ME2. But BioWare will probably give them pointless cameos in ME3 too.

Ok, yeah... you go play a game with only one character in it. Have fun with that.

Just b/c you don't like a certain character doesn't automatically make them a pointless character.

example: I don't like Tali... but is she a pointless character? No.... she is how you get evidence to prove things to the moronic council.

Quit sippin the haterade and give them a chance... neither character is "pointless"

What exactly do they provide to the story? No, really, because I have no idea. And don't say "because they're a love interest" because that has nothing to do with the story, you can easily skip that and it won't effect anything. Gameplaywise, they bring nothing to the table. Kaiden has tech and biotics. Liara is better with biotics, Tali is better with tech. Ashley is a soldier, so that basically means that she's good at soaking bullets. Of course, Wrex has more health and a biotic barrier so he's better at doing even that. So that means the only thing they have going for them is a possible death on Virmire, which makes me wonder why I can't just ditch the both of them at that point.

Not gonna further the pyramid.

From a story perspective, Ashley provides Shepard with needed intel on the enemy and layout of Eden Prime. Now, from a gamer perspective, we know that Bioware doesn't make sandbox type games, so the directions that Ashley gives as to which direction to take seem silly, because to us there is only one path to take. But from a story perspective, if we hadn't run into Ashley, there is a very high probability that we wouldn't have reached the beacon before Saren destroyed it, thus we wouldn't have had the information needed to even realize that the reapers existed. Game, series and civilization over.

Or they could have advanced into the colony as per the mission in the first place and talked to the surviving scientists and farmers who somehow knew where the beacon was without Ashley telling them.

So for an hour (real world game time), she proves marginally useful.

What about the rest of the weeks/months we spend catching Saren.....she is completely useless imo. (though I cannot stand her so I am biased lol).

As for DLC, just like Horizon in ME2, they can make an Ash/kaiden DLC very easily, by just swapping the character model and voice scene for scene....simple.

And I actually think they will do that, that it will be the last bridging DLC before ME3, and a way of 'convincing' them, you are not 'working' for Cerberus, in order to get them back on the 'team'.

The next DLC will most likely have to deal with the Alliance-Cerberus issue from Shepard's perspective. That means it WILL involve Ashley or Kaidan.

And I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum from you, after my first playthrough of ME 1, I completely ignored liara until the game forced me to take her just to move the story forward. So in my world Liara is just as useless as Ashley is in yours. Needed only for a few seconds to gain necessary intel, then forgotten completely. But as far as story perspective goes, without that intel from either one of them, we lose.

And if you play that DLC after you've destroyed the Collector Base and gone against T.I.M its obvious you're not working with Cerberus so They'll have to join you.

Well in a real world situation they don't 'have' to join...but they will...bnecause the story says so lol...

But yeah, I really do believe that the last DLC will be with the VS. Besides...Liara got one, can you imagine the **** storm from fans if they don't? lol.....not pretty.

Symji....aye very true....I'm the same with Wres, never really got why he was so popular. Still, makes it a better game for it, be dull if we all liked the same thing wouldn't it? :)

I always wondered why they gave Liara a DLC before Kaidan or Ashley because imo I didnt Liara wasn't as important as the other two storywise.

HaHa, i was thinking something like that too lol.

But I hope the next DLC is with the VS, but it starts off seeming like it wont involve the VS. I say that because of the reaction we got from Ashley on Horizon, cant be similar to Liaras where we acted friendly towards one another.

Seriously guys it might be time to stop dreaming. This is not because you find Kaidan / Ashley useless, that's the case. It's YOUR opinion. Stop taking your desires for realities. :)

Your perspective is your perspective, you don't hold the universal truth. At least have the decency not to talk as if you did that establishing a fact, objectively, while not at all, it gets heavy.

I found Thane heavy and unnecessary, but I don't pretend to say that Bioware is going to foreclose because it is. No, it's just me that thinks, I'm not trying to speak instead of Bioware.

You don't like a character, tell it all, no need to hide behind a false objectivity. ;)

I can see a very good DLC involving the Citadel/Council/Anderson/Virmire Survivor perhaps involving a Reaper carcass.

Personally, I'd enjoy having some Wrex DLC. The problem is that not everyone kept him alive. Perhaps he can make an appearance in the Virmire Survivor DLC if the player kept him Alive.

It can be DLC where it's either Wrex or Wreav. The only difference will be the character skills, and the dialogue. They've already shown it can be done in ME2 with Wrex and Wreav and the Feros survivor and Shiala. Both hold the same position, and you end up in the same place story-wise, but the stories are very different because of the personal connection.

I would assume that the last DLC is going to be about Shepards Affiliation in Mass Effect 3 I figure that the options will be something like this.

1.The Alliance

2.Cerberus

3.Council Spectre

4.Rogue

And I have a feeling that the VS will no doubt be a key part of this DLC so all of their fans will be satisfied like Liara's was after LOTSB.

As for non Story DLC I would love more Alternate Apearance Packs and more Armors and Casuals For Shepard

First of all use a bit of common sense and logic....

a WREX DLC wouldnt work...  i hate to break it to you  but, some people like to kill him off on their playthroughs?
Second of which A Virmire Survivor  wouldnt work either...FOR OBVIOUS REASONS lol.

that is all content that can be touched on in mass effect 3....

to bridge the gap from Mass 2 and 3... would be an on track DLC....we dont need new squad mates or worry about irrelevent things....odds are they would AND SHOULD make the DLC accessable only after the final mission is completed to push along the plot and leave us at a new nail biting cliffhanger

Really, how would a Virmire Survivor DLC not work for "obvious reasons?" It'd be a perfect way for BioWare to wrap up the save file and allow Shepard to choose to either rejoin the Alliance, stay with Cerberus, or go independent before ME3 arrives.

This has all been mentioned already. If the only reason not to make a VS or Wrex DLC is because they can potentially die in ME1, then there's no reason to make ME3 because nearly all of the main characters from ME2 can die.

I thought the Shadow Broker wasn't going to be dealt with until ME3, but I was wrong. Is there a problem with not waiting until the third game to tie up a few loose threads? Because I'd rather tie up some side plot line in ME2 DLC than have it not tied up at the end of ME3.

I don't think side quests (and the storylines associated with them) are entirely irrelevant - in games like ME which are designed so your actions from the first game carry over to the next installments in the series, something that seems inconsequential at the time could be a big game-changer. Take LotSB, for instance - the Shadow Broker isn't a major villain, but the end of that particular DLC provides you with a major resource that could very well (and probably will) be used to take on the game's primary villains. (How did I do at avoiding spoilers?)

Wrex/Wreav and Ashley/Kaiden, both could easily be done now please stop trotting out some nebulous claim that because "I" killed so-and-so I couldn't play it excuse for your desire to not see that character again.

Seriously, we get it that you hated said character, deal.

gameplay feature, If Shepard regains his title of Spectre. He gets a new passive ability that ties to his spectre status.

Shepard gets a spectre armor and weapons.

Everyone gets One or more new weapons to their arsenal. For Example, Garrus, Jacob and Zaed gets the most weapons due to their back grounds

Kasumi, Miranda, Thane and Samara, maybe Legion gets one more weapons.

Kasumi, Legion and Tali gets most Tech abilities.

Samara and Jack gets the Most biotics
