And these are just examples of how love can change a fictional world. There are plenty of examples in real life of how love or lack of love can change the world. A recent example would be Princess Diana is dead now because she and Charles weren't in love. And Charles will likely never wear the crown because he loved Camilla and the people loved Di (that and his mother the queen is a werewolf who won't die).

That didn't change the geopolitical situation at all, it just gave the British tabloids a field day...

I have nothing against romace in games I romanced Tali in ME2 and i nearly cried but they said the dragon age games are about Thedas nothing else
