So I crash landed that Aasir pretend-Specter on Azure in Lair of the Shadow Broker, right. I get out of my skycar, and Liara starts talking about being careful, except that I run straight at the burning car in front of me and interrupt that dialogue with a new line. Then... nothing happens. In fact, the door I'm pretty sure I have to go through, leads to, well, an actual concrete (or brick or umm, I'm not entirely sure what) wall. After reloading the auto-save, I let her finish talking and got attacked through the door, which now appears to work correctly.

Note to self: stop and listen, then run around

Note to Bioware: double check your trigger sequences please :)

LOL i wish i experienced that one. The funniest one i had was teamates having random seizures when the people talking are in a place where it doesn't know which way to turn their heads. It happens in the main game too sometimes. Some of the random glitches with teamates in the background can be hilarious.

People have managed to solve a number of car chase bugs related to GeForce 7 series cards by turning motion blur off in the video settings. Other than this not sure what to suggest. And this is possible only relitive if you have one of those cards.

I will see what i can do with that, thank you anyway.

Edit:Changed all the parameter to no,and it does'nt change anything. This problem occurs right when the too cars bump into each for the second time.

Actually I have the same problem as Razgaros on my GF 9600 GT... any idea WTF and how to work this out?

EDIT: Mass Effect 2/BioGame/DLC/DLC_EXP_Part01/Movies     can anybody with working car chase check the file name which on my computer has got name   EXP_Part01_CarCrashBink.bik   ? cause that "Bink" right before ".bik" seems a bit strange to me, maybe thats the issue

The file is called that.Weird as it sounds. Do you have another GPU to try? Or could you role back your drivers to some older ones? Need to reliminate the card or the drivers you have if you have the latest drivers for it using older ones might be the key. I doubt anything is wrong with the DLC files it's possibly related to the GPU like other errors with the DLC have been.

Well, I have no idea what version of drivers do I have... any idea how to check that? But i doubt that its drivers fault, since i get problem with only that 1 cinematic, and whole ME2 runs great on full details ( yeah, i tried changing those, don't see point since its cinematic problem.. also don't see point in drivers version since only that 1 cinematic is not working, while the rest, even from that dlc is fine. )

If you go into your device list you should be able to find an option to roll back drivers. I'm just taking a wild stab in the dark. Certain cinematics and graphics have caused problems in ME 2 for ages. Myself i get crashes during the Reaper Core battle although they have reduced since the patch came out now it just happens once every 10 games. Certain driver releases have caused problems in games so i was suggesting it simply to eliminate all possibility of it being graphics related.

I don't know you have not tried any others :P

Somebody else reported a fault with the DLC using that card. Seems less common than the issues related to the GeForce 7 series though. And it only seems to be with Nvidia cards.

So our beloved BioWare screwed up, eh? I'll try anything i can imagine to work this out :| BTW, 1 more thing, what is the size of that movie on ur PC? Since my has got 30,8 MB, and exactly 32 387 316 B .. if it is somehow not the same, it may also be a problem :D (thats a "wild stab in the dark" but worth a try)

Just installed newest drivers... well, they actually broke my PC... and it's miracle it's working without system reinstall.. And about that movie in ME 2: it still is not launching... its wierd to hear sound but have black screen... and BTW, I downloaded Rad Video Tools, and I can launch that car crash movie with no problem.. so THAT is wierd!

Hi there.. I don't know if you guys have resolved this problem since it has been a year but I was looking up through the web since I had the same problem too with the video not loading. I was just playing around with it since I gave up on this a long time (driver changes on my video card, reinstalling the DLC, reinstalling the entire game, etc..). Simple solution that I did was to copy the video files on "C:\\Program Files\\Mass Effect 2\\BioGame\\DLC\\DLC_EXP_Part01\\Movies", all 15 of them... to "C:\\Program Files\\Mass Effect 2\\BioGame\\Movies".

I don't know if this would actually work for anybody else but it's worth a try. ^_^
