I want the reapers to land on their planet and indoctrinate the entire species. Think about it- an entire army of indoctrinated Yahg would make incredible foot-soldiers/enforces for the reapers.

Plus, the Yahg's technology is nowhere near that of other galactic races, meaning, they have a greater chance of succumbing to the reapers mind-control (plus, they probably lack the technology to actually combat a reaper, let alone a fleet of them).

The council has quarantined they're planet, and i'm pretty sure they'd keep a sentry or sumin to inforce tht quarantine, so if th reapers did go to Parnack (Yahg Homeworld, yes i codexed it Posted Image) to indoctrinate them i doubt the council would sit on they're ass and let them aquire huge tanks made of skin for theyr cause. Posted Image

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if there was an 'elevate the Yahg' option presented in ME3, especially if the genophage cure data was destroyed and/or the Geth are not available.

Elevate a violent species to fight a threat to the galaxy, give them some worlds for doing it.. nothing has ever gone wrong with that plan.

i want a full on Yaugh vs Krogan war with the Yaugh on the side of the Reapers trying to invade Tuchanka..... that would be epic

the Krogan fighting for survival vs a species bigger, tougher, stronger, and more violent than they are? I think Grunt and Urdnot Wrex would love this

yeah i like the Krogan

I didn't say it was a good plan, but I bet it gets presented, especially if the war is going badly due to other options having been ruled out or not being available due to past decisions.

Bonus points to Bioware if the Reapers win because everything deemed 'risky' (Krogan, Rachni, Geth, possibly the collector base) has been ruled out on the theory Shepard and/or humanity should be able to beat the Reapers without them.

bigger and stronger...yes.....but tougher? who knows?

you do not know what their regeneration factor is, you do not know how much organ redundancy they have or how resilient they are to poisons.

you only know they are big and strong

Don't get me wrong people, I had some GREAT theories (SB as a Rachni, or the REAL Kohoku), but I'm really ok with a new species being the SB. I only had a problem with the presentation of it. All the hype about the shadow broker, finally going to meet him, and he's a what? Yahg? WTF is that? I really got the feeling of 'you're famous? never even heard of that movie....' Liara just popped it right out, not even a hint of foreshadowing in ALL the conversations we ever had with her. It would have been WAAAAAAY more epic if we had at least a casual mention of them beforehand.

Given that they are quarantined and probably not publicized (so no one would try to use them as shock troops against the council races, I bet people would be complaining about how the forshadowing was 'soooo contrived'

based on the fight with the Shadow Broker, i could concede that perhaps they dont have redundant organs like the Krogan, but they do have thicker more damage resistant skin/hide, they are deceptively fast for their size, and have stronger biotic potential

that seems tougher to me at least

That would be awesome and epic. I can see the races in the Galaxy being split, some siding with the Reapers over old grudges. Cool conflict FTW.

Actually i think that *the* yahg that was the shadowbroker is for the yahg what shepard is for humanity- a prime sample.

It is foolish to think that they are OP to all other races in the galaxy, it makes much more sense (since he was unique in wanting to leave) that he had some very nice genes compared to all the other yagh's.

You also do not know how resilient they are to poisons or wellthey can take wounds and heal from them. He does not display biotics at all for that matter. He nevergets "wounded" really until the endyou only take his defenses down. Again all youknowis that theyare big and strong

Forthat matter you can also see Grunt shrugging off bullets onone of the vids but I am digressing

Shepard put up a pretty good fight hand to hand, even if he is mostly cybernetics and a brain at this point.

While the Yahg revelation wasn't bad, it also missed so much potential. I was hoping it would be revealed that the SB, whatever he was, was indoctrinated, and had been since the end of Mass Effect 1. That would explain several things, such as his complete personality change between ME1 and ME2.

What personality change? We knew nothing about him in ME1, just that he sold info to whoever paid for it and didn´t like to be crossed. That remains in ME2.
I think there´s more to the SB than we´ve seen. The way the previous succession went, I don´t think the other SB was the original either. Would be good to know how long SB had been around to guess how it started. Even asari and krogan don´t live much above 1000. For all we know, SB is a Council project to keep power balance.

a scripted event does not really count does it?

something that knocked out grunt should have outright killed mordin but it does not

It's obvious that Yahg is very interesting species. But there are something people misunderstand about it. Yeah, yahg is a bigger, stronger than krogan. But they are also smart like salarian as well. They have ability to figure out all kind of languages aliens talk because they have four pairs of eyes which are capable of doing that. So nobody can lie. As we have seen in DLC, yahg has unique biotic power. I think that it is not barrier or some kind of geth shield. It is very unique like stasis that Liara uses.

Anyway, I wish that bioware would roll out one of side quest about yahg. That would be nice.

I thought the whole Yahg thing was fine. What really concerned me was going through two whole games considering the Shadow Broker as a villain. My hope was at the end of this DLC, I could save Liara from dealing in this shady crap that I was sure she was only suffering for revenge. Now I realize she wants this so bad that she's willing to *become* the next shadow broker? I was expecting at least some kind of conflict there between choosing ill-begotten power and returning to a simple life (classic story). I was really surprised at Shep's reaction. Shep finally gets Liara back and finds out she is gonna be the next SB and he's just like "That's cool, just don't get in over your head." That was the most disappointing thing in this DLC to me.
