I am deciding whether to invest time building up the experience points of Shale, or Sten, and am wondering whether I can take them with me when I finish Origins -- say for example, can I use them in Awakenings or the Dark Chronicles or Liliana's Song? Thanks.
Can I take any of my party member characters with me to other adventures?

Short answer: no,
longer answer:
Leliana's Song - takes place years before the events in Origins, you play as Leliana and get new companions.
Darkspawn Chronicles - you play as one of the darkspawn against your party members.
Golems of Amgarrak - you get all new party members.
Witch Hunt - you get the Dog back
Awakening - you get Oghren back (with reset stats and equipment).

This has been a frequent source of complaint around here - especially that you don't even get your LI for Awakening (which is a continuation for Origins).lawlist wrote...
