Notifications pop up when a new article has been posted in a blog i'm subscribed to. That's nice to have and goes away after having visited said new post.

Now for the bug part:
If the blog has been deleted in the meantime, the notification cannot be removed, not even by unsubscribing, resulting in ever-present, unremovable notifications which get annoying after a while. (Been experiencing this for good 9 months now).

Can be removed with Adblock, though, but in that case not even the legit notifications are visible.

Celrath describes a way to get rid of them here. Maybe that'll work for you.

@Arlana, that only works until you get a new notification about something. That brings the old ghost notification right back. Also, you need to do the same "Celrath method" to every single page on the site, so doing it once will only remove the notification for that particular page.

As of now, the notifications are gone, will see if they are back when a new one comes.

Thanks Arlana for the tip and swirlwind for the warning!

Unfortunately I have over 100 of them right now. That method is going to take me a while..
