Shes definately liara's "Father". Why the hell else would she have a picture of liara?

Stalker with a crush.  No, I don't buy that, but it's definitely a perfectly consistent explanation.

I think it's convincing circumstantial evidence. Like I said, I was just being technical.

...even if I spelled it wrong...

thats why i spelled it exactly like you did, to not get this evading answer. i wanted an honest what you think answer. and how is it 'circumstantial'? and not pretty damn convincing?

Circumstantial evidence is a kind of evidence.

Furthermore, I didn't say that it wasn't convincing, just that it wasn't concrete evidence. Nor was my answer evasive. I do think Matriarch Aethyta is Liara's "father" - because of the overwhelming circumstantial evidence.

Just remember people purebloods are frowned upon. Especially when the pureblood is the daughter of a traitor and a disgraced (albeit AWESOME) matriarch. I think it makes perfect since that even if they knew about the relationship they don't mention it because of embarrassment. Besides, they haven't seen each other in 50 odd years because Lira's been at dig sites

There are two reunions I hope turn up in ME3: Liara with Aethyta and Wrex with Aria.

Most likely, the folks at Bioware put that little easter egg in just to mess with the heads of all the fans who have over-active, fevered imaginations and come up with crazy +!#$ like "OMG that bartender must be Liara's motherfather!" or "Shephard must have landed on that frozen world (after the Normandy was trashed) in the Mako!" I've never understood that segment of fandom... the shippers, the speculators, and the "off-camera" wonks.

It's kind of sad that some people still think you should be ashamed of yourself when you have passion and imagination for anything in this world.

Never played it, doesn't look like it would interest me.

Played a ton of ME2, and love it.  Been busy with month-end, but will download LotSB tonight when I get home.

Am I the only one who sees Liara's image moving and talking in the little computer pad Aethyta is holding?

I've watched it twice now and the image is not static. So it's either a recorded video or a video conference.

Passion and imagination are to be commended.  We need more of both in this world.

That has nothing to do with what I'm talking about.

I like how you lump all that together into a 'segment'.  Shipping is a completely different phenomenon from speculating about possible connections and future plot points based on the information we currently have. The latter phenomenon especially is completely innocuous and utterly, boringly normal behavior for most human beings.  The existence of individuals who have a poor grasp of what good evidence is and who have a tendency to over-extrapolate and concoct conspiracy theories should also be equally unsurprising.  I have no idea what you even mean by 'off-camera' wonks. Apparently, it's unseemly, but that's about all I can extract from it.

I don't think it's ever going to properly be answered, so we may as well just all agree that she is and let it be.

Do you stare longingly at one while drinking alone though?  If so, I advise you to seek help immediately.

We don't get to see her face, for all we know she's angry and thinking "I'll kill you soon". (Well, at least the video I saw, maybe there's other I haven't seen).
