Hello all,
I have NWN2 MoTB and SoZ installed, a strange thing happened while I was creating a new character for a new MoTB campaign. I do not know if this is discussed yet but I will not give you any spoilers so try it yourselves and see.
When you are creating a new character name your character a**hole fill in the stars with the obvious letter and you will see a surprise.

I was bored so I tried it with every profanity I know and it provided some amusement. I think it is less an easteregg and more to ensure a certain game rating. Can't have your buff, big tan coloured underwear wearing hero running around with a name like a**hole.

For those who don't have SoZ, can you please explain what's happened, please?

Obsidian (or perhaps Atari) chose not to allow names that included common English vulgar words, even if embedded in the middle of a name. So, it will change those names for you, often in amusing ways. It was done to preserve the "rating" of the game. I don't know if it applies to all language versions, since I'm only proficient at English cussing.
So, for instance, if you wanted to name a character after Noboru Take****a (pronounced Ta KESH ta), former Prime Minister of Japan, well, try it and see.
(edit) There, this forum just did it to me too when I tried to write out his name. Weird, eh?

The swearfilter.2da file has some pretty amusing replacements for inappropriate expletives. I particularly like the nod to Mork from Ork.

o_O even when the "vulgar word" comes in the middle of a name? It's completely absurd!!!

Yes, it is. This is another of those topics discussed at length on the "old forums" and widely denounced as censorship at its most stupid. By the way, having read your posts in some other threads, I think your English is pretty **** good.

Really? Well, thank you, but to say the truth, I think you are just too kind :-D
I am ALWAYS in confusion about which verb tense I must use! In my language there are about 20 different tenses, each one for a specific situation. So translate my thoughts into English is not so easy :-P
