Why cannot I find ANYTHING to help get this game loaded ??  The game download just keeps spinning and the bar stays at 0%.  This has been going on for 48 hours.

I've read what others have done but I am no computer genius and don't understand about zip files, dap things, etc.   Is there a patch from tech support?

I am getting beyond frustrated  :crying:

Same thing, there are quite a lot threads already around here with people with exactly the same problem. No working solution yet.

This worked for me.

Manually download the file by going to http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php .

Follow the steps below. If you just download the file, your browser very likely will change the file's .dazip extension to a .zip extension and you wont be able to use the daupdater.

Click More info PC. RIGHT CLick the DOWNLOAD link below. Select Save Target as... In the screen that appears, choose where you want your file saved and then go down and click the right arrow where it says Save as type... and select All files. Now click the arrow above this one where the name of the file appears, and it pops out a screen where you can select the DAO_PRC_STR_1.0.zip file and change the .zip extension to .dazip. Click the SAVE button.

Search for your Dragon Age/bin-ship folder and run daupdater there. Click on the Select DAZIPs button and select the file you just downloaded.

That worked for me. Hope this helps. I know it's frustrating. Shame on Bioware

I do appreciated your help, Yuliboe, but this is stuff I just don't understand. I did try it but is beyond my non-tech brain. How the heck did YOU figure that out?? Can I give you a few soverigns to do this for me?

I had no trouble with any other of the downloads I've bought and can't believe this one has been so much trouble.

I followed the steps above and Witch Hunt shows up in the Installed tab of Downloadable Content.

However, I can't find the game in the Other Campaigns section as per the instructions. This is highly frustrating...any ideas?

Like 'highside9000' suggested per his link, I moved the Profile.dap file from the 'settings' folder off to 'temp'. DAO regenerated it after I went on-line from the game. The Witchhunt DLC immediately went from 'unauthorized' to visible in the Other Campaigns window and was playable. Thanks for that link!

Found a solution that worked for me. First I did point 3.3.1 from social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/58/index/81613, after that I cleared up few gigs of space on C:/, that did the trick for me

OK... in which step were you lost mondotomhead? I will outline the procedure step by step. Copy and paste in your word processor (yo can do that, can't you? ;))  and print the procedure below so you can follow it step by step.

1.- Manually download the file by going to http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php .
2.- Click More info PC.
3.- RIGHT CLick the DOWNLOAD link at bottom of that page.
4.-  Select Save Target as...
5.- In the screen that appears, choose where you want your file saved.
6.- Go down and click the right arrow where it says Save as type... and select All files.
7.- Now click the arrow above this one where the name of the file appears, and it pops out a screen where you can select the DAO_PRC_STR_1.0.zip file.
8.- Change the .zip extension to .dazip. Click the SAVE button. Wait for the download to finish.
9.- Go to your  Dragon Age folder. Open it and then open the bin-ship folder
10.- Find and  run the daupdater program there.
11.- Click on the Select DAZIPs button and search and select the file you just downloaded.
12.- Click install selected

I hope this helps.

Good luck ever getting BioWare to officially acknowledge the major problems with their content delivery system. The thing's been busted since day one and all the changes they've made have generally made things worse.

It's going to take me more time to install this than it is to play through it.
