If this isn't the right place for something like this (or if this has been done elsewhere - I didn't see one) please go ahead and move me.

I wanted to collect some information in a more easily digestible format than digging through all the Witch Hunt bug threads. So hopefully we can do this in an organized pattern. I wanted to write up a Morrigan romance/bug guide for Witch Hunt so I'll need a bit of help.

I know BioWare is working on a patch as well, but still wanted to look at the problem in lieu of that fix.

4. Did not romance Morrigan, actually had her confess her love for me, and rejected her... >_> She remained my friend at the end and gave a really awesome speech about how she valued our friendship.

6. I imported Golems (which was imported from Awakening, which was from origins epilogue), I tried it again and burned through the dlc with an imported origins epilogue... but it got the same result.

6.i imported the save from Golems , which was imported from Awakening, which was imported from the post-coronation save from origins.

I'm still on my initial play (360 version), but I think I noticed something. My Warden romanced Morrigan, and later Leliana. There was a confrontation, and my Warden chose Morrigan. By endgame, through approval, Leliana wound up in love with my Warden again, but it was around the last mission and the ending reflected both romances. My Warden has worn Morrigan's ring since it was given to him, and performed the DR. I used this Warden for Awakening.

When I first started Witch Hunt, I used my Awakening file (being higher level, and wondering if anything would reflect the story advancement). My Warden was my character and had his skills, but he started wearing Orleasian gear and carrying none of his normal gear (in Awakening I maintained one of his two Origins weapons and my armor set from Origins consisting of the Felon's Coat and Wade's Drakeskin leathers). He spoke of Morrigan in general terms in the early dialogue options, and seemed neutral towards Dog (one line implied that he had aquired the dog upon recommendation from a third party).

So I reloaded my Origins save. My skills have snapped back to their end-Origins/beginning-Awakening levels, but I have my gear. My character clearly interacts with Dog as though they are old companions. Dialogue options show a complex relationship with Morrigan (talk of the baby, talk of loving Morrigan, or talk of wanting revenge on her).

So my early conclusion is the the bug would have affected me if I had played through with my Awakening file, but my Origins file may not be affected.

Nevermind this flipping bug - I cannot progress past the very first Sentinels you encounter because they won't heffing die!!!!



- I've removed ALL other DLC and Mods and COMPLETELY reinstalled DAO and Awakening

- I've tried importing characters and creating new ones

- I've tried threatening my computer with Silicon Hell

- I've tried all varients of cheats including trainers and runscript killallhostiles

Imported several different saves and got the bug on all my imports. Deleted Wardens Keep and Shale DLC, no longer got the bug on my imports from Awakening save, but still on my Origins and Golem saves.
