I've gone through the engine room, shot more bad guys in trenches with 2 lightning capacitors next to them, and now I find myself on top of the ship in a big area with large flaps going up and down and no exit. No door, no blinky lights, no bad guys and nothing that gives me an option to go somewhere or do anything. Lil help?

Keep going left. If that doesn't work, keep going right.
If that fails, bring up the power wheel and see/go where the arrow points on the map positioned at the bottom right corner of your screen.

When I do that, the arrow basically points everywhere. I take a step, it points a different direction. I never needed to refer to it before, and now that I need a reference its unfortunately useless.

There is a little trench that basically dead ends in a black wall, and that's it. I wonder if there was supposed to be a door there, and this is another bug in the DLC for me? (had the motion blur bug in the car chase, the crash bug when in Liara's apartment.... so a completely missing door is maybe par for the course.

Never mind... the panel controls were missing. Reloading fixed the bug.

I encountered this bug when playing as a Vanguard. I thought that Charging to the back of the battlefield with those two lightning capacitors (right after coming up the ramp) caused the problem by messing with the LOKI Mech spawns. Were you playing as a Vanguard?

Check that, I think Stasis is to blame. A lot of scripts in ME2 seem to rely on all enemies being cleared out before opening up the next area. Stasis might be throwing these scripts off. I used Stasis on some of the flying rocket drones on Freedom's Progress (near the start of the game). When I had finished off the group, the prompt to place Jacob and Miranda on either side of the large door (before the heavy mech) failed to initiate.

I can confirm that Statis is causing the bug. Charge works fine.

I remember there was just the opposite bug on Eden Prime in ME1. You can leave a geth in stasis, then start talking to Ashley. Mid-conversation the geth would free itself and start shooting at you in vain.

I had the same issue in the same spot as a Vanguard

Same. I'd use stasis on a drone and once it got free any damage it took tould destroy it, regardless of it having over 3/4 shields. And the prompt wouldn't start afterwards.

I'm stuck , I assume near the end of the ship exterior sequence. Liara has used an experimental bypass system and there's been lots of fighting, but the device is stuck on 4/5ths completed and there's nowhere to go/nothing to do.
Any ideas? I'm assuming a combat group hasn't been spawned or something.

Reload fixed it.
