I don't care if it was a joke!

I still support Qunari love with Cookies! Its the only way to Woo a Qunari. Is give them some cookies; even Mary Kirby knows this. The problem with the female warden is she didn't know how to bake cookies. I mean she was a warrior after all. I bet if she know how to bake cookies or even had some for a gift for sten. Sten would have even fallen for the warden and shown her his soft side.

I can't honestly see a connection here. They no longer follow the Qun, a good reason to try out everything forbidden.

Of course, the right question here is - do their species have natural psychological connection between love/romantic feelings and sex? They probably do, they're just taught otherwise by the Qun.

A huge opportunity to learn from Hawke here. Learn the hard way, with iron pry bars, leather thongs, whips and other equipment... Probably butter and nug fat will be involved... Fake cat ears... An additional dwarf..

Do rebellious teenagers take up phrenology and foot-binding in the real world? Just because your culture doesn't have something doesn't make it enticing. And why would they naturally want to gravitate away from, "I have guilt-free sex with multiple partners at regular intervals for my entire adult life" to "I'm going to pine and then, if I'm lucky, just have sex with that one guy"? Not a trade up, really.

OH GOD! This is just wrong... Love isn't about sex. Sex is just a little bonus.

If I was to live in qunari society i would fell myself as some kind of free gigolo...

Break free Qunari! Go and have true romance and love! :D

Haha well I'd say it can be a bonus if you've waited for love to have sex.  But I don't think most people do that, though many might be under the delusion that they have. Either way teh smex can be had with or without love, and in some cases it can even lead to deeper emotional involvement.  Which brings me to...

I wouldn't say it would just naturally happen without direction, no.  But the guilt-free sex part could transfer over, no?  And then like I said above, maybe that leads into something more? That could maybehaps be possible if they even have these feelings lying somewhere dormant.  It doesn't even have to be lasting.  Fleeting, misguided romances happen often and are fun enough.  Well, for us third party onlookers that don't have to actually ride that crazy roller coaster.  Though I think many RPers actually find themselves on that ride anyhow, judging by these forums... but I'm rambling.  Though the Qunari are officially the coolest race as of their DA2 incarnate.

I am not sure a Qunari romance is something that is even possible within the context of their culture. Any romantic relationship as we understand romance would be impossible unless the Qunari had completely abandoned his or her people's philosophy.

It is said that the Qunari do indeed feel love, that they form bonds and friendships, but that they do not express these things in any fashion we would term as romance.

Granted, this being said, I think it would be very interesting to have the option of having a romantic relationship with a Qunari on their terms, forcing the character to reassess their opinions on what "love" is in accordance to the Qun.

Makes for good philosophical conundrums that does.

And that's why I agree that we DID romance Sten in DA:O if we got his approval high enough. He does end up calling the Warden "kadan"!

Kadan: Term for something one values highly. Or sometimes the center of the chest. (Literally, "where the heart lies.")

But Sten calls Shale "kadan", too...

Implications unpleasant.

Tsk Tsk *brushes dust off of thread* It's time to bring this thread back up to page one! I start the process with this picture I drew....because I had nothing else to do....I know some of the stuff is weird looking, but cut me some slack. I haven't taken any art classes; this is self taught.:)

"Oh...." I said quietly as he
approached,"...it' is you."  The hulking brute of a man, this qunari,
stared at me with gentle black eyes, curious as to why my voice sounded
as if I was displeased with his presence.
"I am aware that you do
not get along very well with the others in the camp," I said, turning
away from him, "...and that you do not like it here in this land,
different from your own..."  He crept closer, waiting for me to finish. "So I have come to a decision: you are free to leave whenever you like..." my wavered as I stared coldly into the night sky,"...We will all understand if you do."
I stared quietly at the ground, expecting no response from him. I then suddenly felt a soft, but firm hand place itself upon my shoulder, and slowly turn me around. The qunari gently pulled me towards him, and traced my jawline with smooth fingers. "Kadan...." he said quietly, moonlight glinting off of his ebony horns, "I swore an oath; to protect and serve you, just as you did when we met...I am not going anywhere." I found myself being pulled up to his face, cold marble like lips pressed firmly against my own, and his fingers twisting themselves in my hair. I could not find any willpower or reason to pull myself away...
Up in the sky: "Joker!" I said, staring outside the cockpitt window, "Where in God's name are we?!"
Joker shrugged casually, "I don't know, Commander; I think we might have it a time-warp or something--"
The sound of a guitar and a piano suddenly began playing loudly, and a man with a
hunchback and balding hair jumped out from behind me, and began to sing. "I REMEMBEUUUH DOIN' THE TIME WAAARP! DRINKING THOSE MOMENTS WHEEEEN---"
"Aw crap, it's him again!" I cried, slamming a hand on the comm button, "Jack! I thought you shoved this guy out an airlock!" Everyone began to dance in synchornized unison, thus begining the Rocky Horror Picture Effect.

More I think about it, more I hope Bioware gives us a Qunari romance. It would be so interesting. The difference of cultures, the vision of love/partnership in the Qun etccc... soooo many roleplay elements !
And when i think about a potential rival/love relationship XD ... I just love love/hate romances.

What do you think ?

Quick Question: Are the Tal'Vosoth the Grey Quanari we see in screenshots or is that all Qunari. I'm asking because Sten called the Tal'Vahshoth "Grey Ones".

This has probably already been answered but I just want to clear myself up.

Considering they call the helmet (horn thingie) for Xbox or whatever it is "helm of the Arishok", the mere fact that they have horns (something Tal'Vashoth apparently get rid of) and the mages in shackles makes me think that they're Qunari.
