I enjoyed Witch's Hunt, but the ending was incomplete and it never should've been released. Leliana's Song was well done and Witch's Hunt could've been just as good with a couple more months of work. But somebody, somewhere at EA was and is unwilling to push the release date of DA2 back. Hence WH was rushed.
Obviously I'm a pretty vocal critic. The one thing Blizzard has on everyone else is they will push back a release date indefinitely to get it right. And fans still buy their product in record numbers. So consumers will not lose interest if you push a release date back and focus on quality. Why other companies don't get this baffles me.
I'm concerned DA2 will also be good with key story points missing thus ruining the experience.

It is a shame to have to think in those terms, but... Awakening. Yeah, it's like that.

Playing the warrior after mage and rogue is a tad boring , what i would like to know iswhat happened to this specialization .? It must have come from Witchhunt as I have not yet completed leliana's song or the golems as yet.
I have not been thru the mirror either, never knew you could. Its like missing heaps because I never used the tab key and lots of Important items do not show up unless you are right on top and even then some books especially do not show up that well.

Nope. The entire Witch Hunt thing likely has been abandoned. Why fix a $5.00 DLC the company suckered everyone into buying with the promise of completing Morrigan's story arc when said company is frantically trying to throw together your next big project to keep the cash cow a milkin?

Activision has bought Blizzard, I wonder if that will be the same. EA owns Bioware.
Sigh...
Shareholders--people who don't love games--and company presidents want more money, so they sell out their awesome company and then EA/Activision milks the successful franchise until it runs dry. Gamers are sad and move on to some other small developer that makes a really awesome game. Big company buys out smaller company that makes really awesome game. Subsequent games suck. Never ending cycle. (I'm not saying that EA bought out Bioware after DA:O [way before that]....and who knows what Activision and Blizzard will accomplish)

Im not sure when in the timeline Witch Hunt takes place but if it fits, isn't it possible that the "gift" is knowledge of Hawke, maybe a suggestion for the warden to get Hawkes help, this would explain why BOTH the Warden and Hawke vanish at the same time during the end of DA II

I know this is a necro but I think I might have figured this out. The book that Morrigan leaves behind for the warden, isn't that the book telling the story of the champion of Kirkwall? that the seekers have in Dragon Age 2? Im sure it looks similur

uh no to that.
Feel sure Kirkwall takes place long after witch hunt, so it's not possible

"Again a necro but, Flemeth's Grimoire anyone? You supposedly gave it to Morrigan in her companion quest."
No reason for Morrigan to give the warden Flemeth's Grimoire.
More than likely the book was just a plot device and has no real significance.

Bioware made some mistakes, a big one was allowing the players the option of killing any of the DAO characters without thinking you might need them in subsequent games/.books/.comics.
Clearly showed a lack of planning so they had to do some retconning.

Hell, in Origins you can decapitate Cauthrien then see her again at the landsmeet.
