Just a thought but before you release a patch please Q/A it before releasing it to the public.
Thanks to this jacked up patch I lost several things and I'll list them.
1. Warden's Keep and Sulcher's Pass (whatever it's called) premium content.
Yes it is still installed but no longer shows on the world map. All items I had stored in the chest in Warden's Keep are now gone thanks to this wonderful patch.
2. My main character I was playing now lost completely his main weapon and other characters were missing other items like boots for one.
Resolution #1.
1. Backed up my Bioware folder under Documents on Window's Vista.
2. Uninstalled DAO
3. Re-installed DAO
4. Restored My Bioware folder under Documents
Resolution #2.
1. Having 3 different character's I imported from the DAO Character Creator my main Elf Mage that I was very far along in the game had no change, still the same effect - have to scrap him which will cause me to shelf the game considering I was close to finishing DAO.
2. My other 2 characters, Human Rogue and Dwarf Warrior were not effected due to them not as progressed as the mage since they have not unlocked both premium contents.
3. Original post I post last night was deleted by Bioware maybe because I posted it in the wrong area which was under General Discussion. I'm hoping that was the case and not them trying to hide what I wrote.
For those that have not installed this patch and you have already finished Warden's Keep and Sulcher's Pass DO NOT! install the 1.01a patch or you will be in the same boat with me.
I will not believe that this patch was throughly tested before it was release it is not possible. I really loved DAO but now I am asking myself do I really want to do it all over right away or shelf it and play it in the future, not happy at the moment.
Patch 1.01a - Did Anyone Q/A This?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think with patches, you have to start a new game after installing them.

I can't start the game up after installingthe patch - I was playing fine then installed the patch now the "Play" button on the launcher doesnt work. I push play and nothing happens. Anyone know howto fix this without the really annoying resolution of having to reinstall the game - extremely fustrating. But this is what happens when companies like EA start to infest everything. They are like a disease on the gaming industry tbh.
Edit - Nevermind just realised there was a solution to this problem in another thread. Though I still stand by my statement that EA are a plague on the gaming industry.

Oh sure....like you are one of the devs who programmed the game. Sorry unless it comes from Bioware or E/A your statement is not legitimate.

Retard the devs have posted in the sticky thanking the community for finding a workaround and also stating they are looking into it. Pull you head outta your ass.CaptainCronos wrote...
