I'm just curious about what type of accents the people of Kirkwall and the Free Marches have. Is it the same as Ferelden mainly British or something else?

P.S. This is a little off topic but something that has always bothered me about the Alienage Elves was why do they speak with the same accents as the Dwarves and Daliesh. Shouldn’t they have the same accents as the humans given that they live with them.

I'd almost rather my Lady Hawke have the voice of Jowan.

Were the Free Marches ever controlled by Orlais? If so that would actually work.

Don't you mean this wo-MAAAHN?

Honestly, the woman version is nastier. "Who ees zees WO-MAAHN, TEE-GAAHN?" She says it so spitefully. I was actually convinced it was because she was cheating on Eamon with Teagan and she was jealous.

Indeed they were, but I should probably point out that Cajun has a lot of Southern American in it.

For the love of God they should just scrap all non-English accents. Cheeky American sass doesn't work in fantasy settings, frankly I find it hard to take any fantasy character with an American accent seriously.

"Oh man, the King totally died, dude!" "Oh, that sucks, huh?"

Give me a ****ing break. You don't see enough regional English accents used in media IMO. Zaeed is a great example, southern regional accent.

I'd love to see a character with a strong Yorkshire accent, or a Geordie one, man, that would be the ******.

Oh please Doest thou speakith withith ye olde tongue. All languages evolve and change and besides who says the people of Thedas speak anything close to modern English.

You see any Southern American accents? I think people would find it too regional.

Most of the accents in DA:O were fine too me. They'll probably be around the same in DA2. I suppose a couple of the voice over accents were a bit fingernails on the chalk board sounding but yeah, they were mostly Orlesians. They can go pound sand.

Also:

Dude, where's my Aravel?

I demand a surfer dude accent.

I kid (somewhat). I'd love a cockney accent however. Throw in some Irish and Scottish too.

I think juuuuust to mess with anyone that's not english we'd should add in the most extreme forms of the geordie, sommerset accents and just for punishment scouse. Maybe add abit of some of the more extreme glasgea.

When I'm running through Lothering I really do want to hear more guys shout I SEE YOO JIMMEH

That would be a laugh really, I mean there is a reason you don't see these accents in use.

Ahh perhaps too many uk references in this post.

Ah, I love Scottish accents...

Is it just me, or did a lot of Amaranthine's residents sound a bit Irish? Would love to hear more Irish, Scottish, Welsh.....

...anything but Orlesian. |D

Isn't Anderfels influenced by the Holy Roman Empire of German Nation?

So maybe we'll hear some German...

Everytime someone uses british as a synonym for english, God kills a Scotsman/Welshman/Irishman.
