Everyone seems to be shiiping stasis off as an adept power, but I don't really understand it. The adept has singularity/pull/throw for CC, only of singularity locks down enemies with defenses though of course. But couldn't stasis workbeautifully on a vanguard? Stasis the most dangerous enemy, charge in, clean up the minions, and have time to concentrate on the stasis'd enemy when you're done. It's just a theory, but which biotic class do you think would be best with stasis?

That depends on your playstyle really. When I was playing Adept+Stasis, I used it mainly to disable one (preferably the most dangerous) enemy on the battlefield. You can have Stasis + Singularity active at the same time. It was hilarious combo against the two Scions at the end of Horizon.

On a Vanguard I used it as indirect damage dealer, Stasis tough enemey (YMIR Mech for example) and then use the insane damage boost to kill the thing easily. This was usually done when only this big enemy was left. Using it as CC power interferes with Charge for me, so basically I only used it when it was more effective than Charge.
On Sentinel I only used it briefly, but since I prefer Assault Sentinels with Shotguns, most likely, I am gonna use it like I did on a Vanguard.

Hehe, on the dlc, use stasis via Liara to lock down the Vanguard spectre. Equip your Geth Shotgun and charge it while you're running to the Vanguard. The stasis seemed to drop about the time i got there every time, so charged GPS in the back. Melee. Repeat.

She barely reacted to my being there before trying to charge away. The charge was stopped by the melee a couple of times, too.

I was having so much fun doing this, I forgot to cast warp the whole time (Adept Shep with Shottie training from the collectors).

By the time the Vanguard Spectre was able to charge away, Liara was ready for another stasis cast. Could have done better had I been a vanguard and able to charge the GSP then charge the vanguard rather than always running at her...so many obstacles to get around :(

stasis works great on adepts because it stops people from ****ing about adepts having no "real" CC abilities besides singularity if they take stasis as a bonus ability. personally i think it takes away from the adept because it means i dont need singularity for my CC. i can start a soldier and dominate the battlefield. stasis the first guy and AR the rest. personally i like it on the vanguard. i like CCing and pull field does what i need it to and stasis is my oh **** a charging krogan button.

Yeah I got a maxed out Stasis atm on my Vanguard (insanity) and its working out rather well. I have a tendency to mix up my play style between cover gunfire and crazy charging. I kinda view it like a dominos game you know? set up the situation then just charge to knock down all the pieces.

Stasis so far has worked out rather well for a number of reasons but a single pointer would work better for what Kronner was saying, using it primarily as an offensive setup tool. I use it for that too but I took the Deep Stasis version so I gadda wait longer, that said they stay in stasis till about my 2nd charge so its definitely long enough to not interrupt my normal Charge use. Basically if there's a fight where you wont be able to charge in immediately - you CAN stasis immediately and work on other stuff till the right opportunity presents its self to charge.

This and the claymore is the most fun I've had with this game since the day I bought it.

I did a Vanguard run through LotSB yesterday and decided I can finally stop saying Reave seems to be the best suited bonus power for the class. Because as some of you may be aware, I loathe to recommend Reave for anything because I feel it's just a tad overpowered. Anyway, Stasis was absolutely perfect for crowd control, especially for a class that CHARGES into the midst of battle. Throw Stasis on your biggest threat, Charge + Shotgun the minions, then concentrate your energies on the bigger bad. 's great!

I think the vanguard can make the most of the damage bonus, but the Sentinel will be able to use it with a -35%+ cooldown, which would make it really easy to work around. i'd definitely say that we're adding Stasis to the group of first tier bonus powers. it's basically the mirror of flashbang; you lock down one big bad instead of multiple low level enemies.
