We have to wait until the 5th here in the UK too.

There is still a chance you may get a pre-order item, as Game.UK wasnt even offering a pre-order bonus until today (or at the very least the last couple of days, when i last checked).

At least the item is available for everyone who pre-ordered.

Dont give up hope.

Question about these items: Are these items you "claim" for a select character, or do all of the toons you make have access to all of these items?

You unlock the items, which are then placed in the game for you to be claimed by any character. Some of these items are mid-to-high level whilst most are low-level.

At least that's the information I've been able to gather.

Gamemania gives an as yet undefined 'item code'. Gamemanis sells the Belgian Collector's Edition (both in Belgium and the Netherlands). Bart Smit (doesn't take pre-orders) will sell the Dutch Collector's Edition, but they have no mention of bonus items at all.

Dutch stores I know of that give pre-order bonus items with the Standard edition:

- FreeRecordShop: Feral Wolf Charm & Memory Band
- Bol.com: Dalish Promise Ring & Memory Band
- EAStore: Fire Ring & Memory Band  (also with the DDE)

Does anyone know how the items from the CE are going to be obtained in the game?

Are they available once u start or do we have to get them from vendors/find them?

As previously mentioned, I would imagine that they end up on vendors somewhere due to their level. I believe there is actually a vendor that appears in the player's "camp" throughout the game, so I wouldn't be surprised if they appear in his vendor.

Kind of interesting though that, apart from maybe coding the 'armor/weapon' items so that they are only obtainable and cannot be re-created looks wise, in some respects as others have mentioned, if we can meddle with the official campaign we should be able to create the items using the same stats (or even better) and dumping them into vendors ourselves.

So apart from the free DLC quests, CE tin, map, bonus 'making of' dvd etc... the rest of the stuff can't truly be deemed exclusive, just requires a bit of work from the player.

Some of the items will pop up in your inventory right at the start of the game, some will become available (eg. from vendors) lateron in the game.

With regard to modding the items in... I would be highly surprised if the campaign files were not locked against modifying them in the toolset (as the original NWN campaign files were).

I have pre-ordered at Gamestop Denmark and they didnt say anything about the Feral Wolf Charm, so i'll just hope to be surprised when i pick up the game.

Indeed I live in the US and pre-ordered it last week and it did say something about, but the page no longer has any mention of it.....

No. Unless you can persuade other people to just give them to you.
But you don't actually need them all. They are just bonus items to make life a little easier.

It appears that pirates have already started to crank out all the promotionals, "exclusives" and other assorted knick-knacks (including the DLCs, such as Stone Prisoner & Warden's Keep) so hopefully it's just a matter of time before we see a full package of everything.

Naturally, when anyone do come across it, do not include the Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep, or any other major (i.e. purchasable) DLC. We don't want a fascistoid crackdown from our new overlords (EA).

I didn't even know that existed. How does that work? You install the toolset and it unlocks the boots? Or what?

Consider yourself highly surprised.

Furthermore, regarding NWN, you could EASILY remove the protection flag, IIRC the only loss was that you then had to start your campaign as if it was a mod, rather than through the regular Official Campign menu. I know I modded the main campaign a bit back then.

For some reason I get a Formari Tome every time I make a new character.

I also have the Memory Band, so it isn't the same thing. Not sure where it came from, but I am not complaining... heh
