Sadly, people are much quicker to register dissaproval than to acknowledge brilliance.

Entirely untrue, at least for me. I thought that DAO had flaws, but was overall a masterpiece of a game, and with each release I have high hopes. I won't lie and pretend something is good when it isn't, though.

for me DA died too :( (untill i hear that warden will be back)
I really  dont care about Hawk or what ever his name is, I think lot of people lost faith in BW by taking there HERO from them, Story about Fedas? comon who cares about some dust and trees. DA without warden isnot DA anymore. We really dont want Commander Hawk :(

DA revolves around Morrigan and Flemeth.

My perosnal opinion is that at the heart of DA:Universe is -

1) Flemeth
2) Arlathan
3) Blood magic

Me... It's far more interesting for a universe to be explored than, for some reason this random character bumbling around the whole of thedas (after all Ferelden is sorted for now, good luck with barren Anora Alistair! not much hope for an heir there) inexplicably walking into these grand conspiracies by malevolent forces.

But then, I like it when my stories make sense. Which is probably a burnable offence on the internet, atleast I don't have to have the bees.

From where did you get those statistics?

And it matters little. The Wardens story is told for now. There's no simple way tpo continue it atm.

DA can have many sequels unlike ME. The former being limited to the life of Commander Shepard.

Uhm, no, like Greg Zeschuk said a few month back,  "Believe me, we have our work cut out for us for the next little while getting Mass Effect 3 done after this. Don't worry if you love Mass Effect, [because] there will be more Mass Effect in the future."

ME1-3 is Shepard's story, of course, but as easily DA can switch from the Warden to Hawke as the protagonist, the very same is possible in the ME universe.

Um, no?

I'm pretty sure the fact that Shepard's story ends with ME3 has been common knowledge  - more or less - since before ME1 was released.

i in fact would welcome the change to a new character after the trilogy, as long as decisions of previous games are reflected in it.
i'd like to play as a turian myself

Not really. Shepard is not like the Warden. You already had a default look back in ME1. ME2 continues his story so they can`t drop him unless they finish.

All these complaints about WH are trivial. My only problem with WH is I killed the !@#$%!<blank> and it didn't even drop so much as a single !@#$%! lip balm!

I hope you're joking.
Because all of us know that it's trivial to have a bugged DLC

The one thing that bugs me though is the possibility that I may never find out why the Warden 'vanished' as stated in the Awakening epilogue. Will we ever know?

Yes, but do not expect full answers quickly.

And, no, I will not say more than that.

For all of you complaining about the continuation (or not, as the case may be) of the Warden's story.. some of us would really like to know how Maric died or more details on Fiona or more information on a number of those teasing codex entries in the game. I love the Warden, don't get me wrong, but more than that I love Thedas. It's like a whole new Middle-earth to get to know. I can't wait to see what the writers deliver in the future. Will I miss hanging out with my companions from Origins? Most definitely. Will I be excited about meeting new characters and uncovering new plots and information? By the Creators, you bet!

I'm more attached to the characters in The Stolen Throne and The Calling than I am to most of the Origin characters, honestly. But maybe I'm just a minority here.

78.6% of all statistics are made up :D

Personally i like that we will be another character on DA2.

I'd rather the series of games be about the world rather than a character and the fact that DA2 gives us another character as our main lead we can see the world from a new perspective, its a great idea imo.

Sure i'd love to see my warden again sometime, but i see DA:Origins as being the Origins of the franchise story.

you'll see them through hawke's eyes as well and shape the world to YOUR decisions, dragon age will feature lots of different protagonists. we may even play the role of a chevalier in a future game, who knows?

I reckon we'll be playing the "hero" in every game in the Dragon Age franchise, whether it be the Warden or not. That is generally how RPGs play out, especially Bioware ones (unless you choose to make your hero an evil "villain" of course).
