She wanted to come over and talk, not romance. She comes over and talks over everything that's happened these past two years and it doesn't start a romance anything unless you romanced her in ME1.

I know many others who have left the ME2 romances for Liara, but they have not posted. It seems a lot of people loved Liara and just was put off by her appearance in the vanilla ME2. It is wonderful that BioWare has fleshed out her character. Liara is (in my eyes) the most well crafted character BioWare has made. I know some may not agree and that is perfectly fine (we all have our opinions), but BioWare knocked it out of the park with Liara'a character and story.

Not only is she pivotal to the main trilogy plot, but she is a special person story-wise as well. She is strong, caring and taking on the strengths of her mother in many ways. I love what BioWare has done with her overall. (my opinion) She is the single most important character BioWare has every made in a game. She has evolved very well from ME1. Her chemistry with both male and female sheperds is second to none. No other character shares that bond with Shep and it comes through clearly in the banter.

Again I'm not inciting character flame wars as I have some other characters favs as well in the ME universe. Tali, Miranda, Jack, Garrus and Thane are wonderfully crafted characters in the ME2 game. Also I still love the Ashley romance and Kaiden's was done equally well. So no love lost between anyone's preferences. I just love Liara and to me no other romance matches up to this one. That is why I picked Liara and she's had me awestruck since ME1

Its actually a fairly deep conversation. I'm talking just the friend one, btw. The "come back soon" made me a little sad.

LOTSB made me sick of Liara. because the way Bioware basically muted your ME 2 squad mate during the whole Liara and Shepard chit chat during battle. and the whole thing about Liara running her mouth about my LI Miranda.

I doubt its Bioware's fault that your other squadmate was mute during the DLC. They probably couldn't get the voice actors back.

I'm already a big Liara fan so I can't like her more but yes because it change my perspective of her in ME2.. at the beginning it felt like I lost her, she changed.. in this DLC I loved how we got to see a little of the old Liara again.. I was so happy to see some Prothean stuff in her appartment.. I was like yay! Brought me back to the old Liara.. and I really liked the romance in LotSB. And I must say.. Liara looks damn sexy in her new look

you asked the question and you got my answer. it would have been fine if Liara was treated like all the others in ME 2 but no Bioware basically gave special treatment to her and made the whole mission seem like any ME 2 squad member with you in LOTSB  is being ignored. and you think that some of us ME 2 fans are not pissed hell yeah we are. and on top of that Mass Effect 2 characters better start getting their own dlc this sh*t about ME 1 characters needs to end.

As I love a good, clean argument I'll chime in. Also I'm glad your capable of civilized discussion. First of all, you are entitled to nothing. If you haden't noticed, ME2 is catering to every ME2 sqaudmember which makes me understand you're being both a hypocrit and jealous at the same time. You are simply butthurt (for lack of more accurate term) that Liara is protrayed so well and obviously you feel intimidate regarding your favorite character.

well check this out, we ME1 LI fans have suffered through similar things without crying like you ever since the game came out, so suck it up, sit in your corner and just be patient and you just might get something relating to the ME2 characters. Going around troliing and crying about is actually hurting your cause. Being I'm a nice guy I am making you aware of that. You will only hurt your desires by trolling and making a fool of yourself. Liara is one the best characters in the game and arguably the best. Yeah I said it, what will you do cry about that or just be in love with your favorite character and let it go. We have been through Tali fandom hell and just sucked it up and took what BioWare gave us with the vanilla ME2 game regarding ME1 LIs and some of us are still suffering through it (VS LIs) so you need to just chill and stop being a big baby.

Vanilla Liara had nothing to go on, romance-wise.

LOL your funny.  I don't care if this DLC catored to the LIara fans because it was good on its own merits.  I'm not the biggest Liara fan but seriously thats not what it was all about.  If you couldn't enjoy the boss fights or the part outside SB's base than I feel sorry for you because all you seem to be able to do is focus on the fact that your prescious Miranda isn't the main character.

There was a certain chemistry I got from Tali that I didn't get from Liara. Also, she's the new shadow broker, and she was the one who proposed to stay friends. I'd rather have a friendship with her.

My opinion of Liara following LotSB has changed for the better, however.

I appreciate the honesty everyone. I am glad that one DLC didn't change everyones mind, neither did I expect or WANT it to. In all honesty I just find it gratifying that BioWare did her enough justice to at least get rid of that negative viewpoint of her. I am a fan of the character as a whole and love what they did.



I will say thanks for the honesty regarding you all's feelings on her being friends and that you like her change as a character. You could have come in here trolling or being overly biased, but instead the majority of you came in really honest and I just wanted to say thanks for keeping this thread civilized.
