If you fancy a journey, consider spending some time at the illustrious Edinmoor Court...

I have just released this campagin to the Vault, which can be found at the following link:

nwvault.ign.com/View.php

It is a party-based adventure, using the SoZ party-chat style conversations throughout. Assemble a group of up to five 7th level characters of Good or Neutral alignment, and see what mysteries await. I consider this a "story-driven" dungeoun crawl.

Thank you to all the members of the community who helped me get this finished. All comments and feedback are appreciated.

Now I need to go vote on all the pre-fabs I used.

Harumph!

Congrats on release, looks like I'm going to have to find a copy of SOZ to try out the party system.

Thanks! Yes, I do believe it is...

@Kamalpoe

Well, someone has to balance out your evilness!

@Chalupa,

Definitely, you should get a copy of SoZ for its own campaign, and the new features introduced with the expansion. I think there are quite a number of excellent mods that have come out and require it as well.

Congratulations! Great news, something new to get stuck into once i finish Maimed Gods Saga.

I have two dwarven builds I play - ranger/dwarven defender and fighter/cleric - any suggestions for which to run with?

Thanks, everyone. Heh, and I remember when I thought I would have had this finished last year.

Wyrin, both builds should do well. However, since the joinable companion is a Ranger, so I would go with your fighter/cleric. Besides, there is some small cleric related content.

You create up to 5 PCs. There is one joinable companion who does tie into the story.

I'm excited already. SOZ party generation is just too much fun.

Thanks! I should add a disclaimer about Party Creation... "some assembly required".

I just wanted to mention that I uploaded an updated version of the module. This one fixes a small error that was discovered in the final dungeon. There was a certain knight who had been flagged as "plot" in his blueprint, which makes him immune to all damage. Have no idea how the hell that happened, since this was a generic knight and his kind appears multiple times in the dungeon.

Fortunately, there is a diplomatic option and the player need not ever have fought this troublesome knight.

Anyway, this should be resolved now and players can choosed to kill the knight or let him live to their role-playing delight.

Harumph!

I think I am trapped. I went to the forest first and in the bards compound I kille everything and have the villa key. But there is nowhere else to use it and all the kids just give me 1 liners. I have a journal entry for one kid and the woman in love but I cant advance the quest for either. The policeman back at edinmoor tells me to keep looking for a killer still as well.

Thanks for checking this out, Eguintir

SPOILER

Back in the Villa, there was a room where a man was beaten and he is lying on the ground near a whipping post. Click on the post... it is a useable placeable (should highlight when you hit the "z" key) and it will fire a significant conversation.

END SPOILER

Ya I recall now. It does start a yellow description then you can choose to say 2 to 3 things per guy. Nothing they say leads to a further conversation...

Hmmm... I am wondering, what level is your group, and in particular this cleric?

The reason is because the gc_skill_rank check required is 7, I believe. And a 7th level cleric ought to have this easily, unless skills points were spread out differently.

For what it is worth, the whole murder investigation is an Adventure Hook used for this module. It is not necessary to complete this in order to progress. Although you will leave a story arc unresolved and miss out on a joinable NPC.

If you really want to, you can explore the other half of the module and gain enough experience to train, and then boost up that cleric's Heal skill to 7.

Or, and here's the beauty of the Party Editor menu, you can swap out a member of your group for someone who has a high enough heal skill. Clerics, Paladins, Druids, and Favored Souls all should be good choices. Even if you bring them along just to initiate this conversation.

It's up to you, should you decide to continue.

Thanks!
