I'm having a weird problem that happens after the cut scene where Liara initially chases Tela Vasir out of the Dracon Trade Center, and they begin a shootout in the parking lot. I run in to help and get a loading screen, but the NPCs ignore me and Liara disappaears. I could walk right up to Vasir and shoot her, but to no response. Anyone know how I can fix this?

I just restarted the mission. I think the bug that Walter and I discovered is connected to missing the cutscene when you first reach the market district. For some reason I got the cutscene this time.

yeah it fixed that problem.

Unfortunately, now I keep getting a fatal error when I beat Vasir.

 I'm having trouble recruiting Samara.

I did shadow broker before I recruited her and you're supposed to be able to get info on her from Liara's console but for some reason i can't get anything.

I'm unable to start the mission and can't progress any more until a patch is released.

i'm having a bug at the scene where the spectre is suposed to crash right after the carchase, and in the middle of that carchase it just goes all black screen and just sounds are played until like, 5 seconds in and then there are just ambedient sounds. could someone help me with this?

Yeah, same problem as everyone regarding the Black Screen during the car chase scene. I've tweaked a bunch with my graphic settings to no avail. Radeon 5870.

This is the problem I'm having as well. But, there are some other odd things in that area...

There are missing objects (they do not appear, but impair progress, ie, broken crap on the ground is just invisible), ammo pickups will sometime disappear and reappear, the game crashed when I first entered Liara's appartment, when entering certain areas textures will be missing and I get that trippy "fun house mirror" effect and I've noticed that when I enter the Outside area where Liara and Tela are, I get a "Loading" message (I find this weird because I've rarely, if ever seen it pop up before, but it pops up whenever walking between these two areas).

It just feels like there's a big creepy, crawly bug in here that hasn't been found yet, or the introduction of multiple DLCs is causing the game to act funny. I know my initial loading time into the game is ~1 min, when it used to be under 30 sec.

yep, totally the same thing. there's even a separate thread of this error nearby, but no solution has been found.

During the car chase crashing my screen went black. the game is still running, I can hear cars and and city sound in the background but screen just stays black and nothing happens. What do I need to do to get past this?

After the shootout, the game loads for a few seconds, but right after it finishes loading, nothing happens. I had the very same problem that our fellow player here described. Here's what I did:

First i lowered some settings:
Antialiasing down from 16x to 2x
Number of cinematic lights from 3 to "default"

then I RESTARTED the mission, with squad members MIRANDA and JACOB (some people in some other threads claim it has something to do with the squad members you choose, I don't know..)
For the car chase I chose MIRANDA, not Jacob.
For the Shadow Broker's ship, I also chose MIRANDA.

And everything went fine, no trace of the glitches I had experienced previously.
I don't know what causes this problem but try out what I tried and tell us whether it worked for you guys too..
damn, this definitely sucks... I mean it's not like this DLC was for free, we PAID for that stuff... damn it, guys

Hey guys I have bug (I think). So after death of shadow breaker I get together again with liara, and I bang her. Problem is that picture is turned down in table (and It comes up if i don't do her?). Intercom also says I can ask Tali to come up. Anyone else having this bug?

So I romanced Liara and Tali and then reconciled with liara, but game won't acknowledge that I am back with liara .

Had the same problem. I fixed it using the ME2 config to disable motion blur. Then I restarted the mission and certain things I missed at the start suddenly showed up. One cutscene of the bombing of the building liara was in and some NPC's that got hurt. However that problem fixed, another problem showed up. During the car chase I think at the end where the asari hits something, the screen just goes black. I can hear sound but there is no video at all. I am going to update my drivers, see if that works.

My specs are:
AMD X2 5600
2GB DDR 800
Nvidia GTS250

Right so I am having another problem regarding the chase scene like many have. During the cut scene the video goes black with audio still going. Restarting the mission does not help , so does reinstalling display drivers.
Tried different con-fig options to no avail. This really is messy, a DLC with an awful lot of bugs.

Edit: ok so i've now tried reinstalling everything without uninstalling anything and I played trough the entire DLC without any bugs. I reinstalled the gfx drivers and after a restart just reinstalled lotsb and it worked! This was a short but sweet chapter in ME. Can't wait for 3.

your problem is that you are a ladies' man!  and that the game does not seem to accept polygamism
it's nothing to be ashamed of though just re-play it and stick with ONE (!!!!) chick ^^

Hey guys I just recently downloaded this dlc so haven't gotten to the car chase portion yet (have only gotten to Liara's apartment). But after installing the dlc, I've noticed all the load times in the game have increase by about 2 to 3 times. For example, on the Normandy it usually takes about 3 seconds to load my bedroom, but after installing Lair of the Shadow Broker, it now takes more than 10 seconds. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem, and yes I have installed all the patches.

Wajusay, I didn't notice any performance change after I installed everything. It might be just you.

as goon3r said, update to 1.02 and the problem will most likely go away (did for me; blackscreen in middle of taxi chase)
