i there i installed the dlc and updated but when i go to galaxy map theres nothing about the shadow broker dlc Do i have to play til i find liara and then activate the quest?(sorry for bad english) mail me to :zimmer 567@hotmail.com pls i want to play the new dlc

no stability among the core game and DLC is causing all this, lack of compatibility, the error posted by the OP is related to you GFX drivers, if they are up to date, the game has a serious graphical bug the patch should have fixed, but truth be told the patch didn't really fix a single thing, it was attempted to fix the Cerberus Network Glitch, Failed too, at any rate, try completely uninstalling your video drivers, like , totally, and installing the latest ones, this should work out. I had a small glitch in this mission too, but after I did that, it works fine now.

Hey I have the same problem as many of you:
Screen going black during the skycar chase (after the sky-car chase, there should be a cutscene of Vasir's crash, all goes black and then I hear the sounds of the crash)

1) Installed patch 1.02 - does not help
2) Turning off motion blur - does not help
3) Turned off most graphic settings
4) Tried the skycar chase with several characters (tali, samara, garrus, grunt)
5) I have latest video drivers (my graphics card is Ati Radeon HD3850 512MB - over minimum requirements - and should not have problems like GF 7xxx named earlier in this post)


Does anybody have an idea what to do ??

ok downloaded a 1.02 vitality nodvd crack and it worked... + no sound and graphic set to minimum or off

too bad that I have an original game... what a shame that it works better with a crack than self alone :/

guys save your troubles,its not your cards, not your computers,the DLC is super gliched and corrupted,its a problem they have with it, and yet even with all these issues and complain they do nothing, Showing that they have no interest in client satisfaction but only to gather money for there greedy pockets. Come Now Bioware ,Really,how long has it been since you launch that darn shadow DLC and with hundreds of complaints over all the forum and yet NO sign of you doing anything. If you cant fix the darn thing ,then at least have the honor of returning peoples money,Or is thieft now part of your companies Logo,

I had the taxi chase crash issue.. tried updating display drivers, messing with video quality settings, no effect.

Finally got through the chase by dropping resolution from 1680*1050 to minimum 1024*768 (not fullscreen).

Weird that resolution affected anything as game is running smoothly with high detail generally.

I've had a separate problem - don't know if it's a glitch or just bad luck - when I land on the Azure hotel and do the firefight in the parking lot, I get through a couple of squads of goons, then wait for the next one to appear, and it doesn't, I can't holster my weapons, and the combat music keeps playing. I know one of the transports is supposed to crash and let me into the next area, but it just doesn't happen. However, I don't know if this is genuine glitch or just my computer playing up. Will try again tomorrow.

I'm having the same issue. My graphics card exeeds the reccomended requirements and I've updated all my drivers, but still no ****ing luck. I'm running Win7 64bit. I've tried running in xp mode, but again with no luck again. you all are a lot luckier then me, every time I try to load a saved file in a profile ME2 and change any of my weapons and those of the others in the game (on the Normandy 2) in the game ME2 it crashes and returns to window desktop saying "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly" (every single time) and I'm ****ing sick an tired of it, has anyone even thought of/try reporting this to EA Games or even Bioware, becuase the other glitches in the game when it came out are still there and this would make a perfectly new patch for the game!

I was able to fix the problem by going into the configure window before starting the game and putting every graphic to off and the cinematic light to 1 and also removing the sound...maybe there is only one of those that needs to be turned off, but hey, it works.

Why the hell hasn't this been fixed yet? I Download this just today, and it's STILL not fixed? This is ****ing retarded. All I can do is run around Liara in circles as they've apparently become retarded. Unless that's apart of the new DLC.

Well, I had the same issue of the Crashing Scene in the Cab.

After reinstalling drivers, and downloading quality settings, finally worked for me patching to 1.02 and using the

Mass Effect 2 v1.02 [MULTI5] No-DVD/Fixed EXE crack.

It's a lame having to use a crack having an original game!



Nevertheless, this fixed the problem for me.

Thanks to 008Zulu at least I know I am not alone with this problem. Heard back from EA with a list of questions and what appears to be one-size-fits-none suggestions. I'm sorry, but what does clearing my browser cache have to do with a scene in a video game going black - especially when it works in all other areas up to that point? I'll try the more helpful suggestions here, one by one, and hopefully be able to progress with the game :-)

As a side, I too experienced the facial degradation of my ME2 characters when I installed nVidia's latest drivers; so I reverted to the older drivers.

7 hours later:

The advice in this forum worked: I turned off all the video options I could and used the lowest or default settings for all others and was able to get through the chase scene then return to the higher settings for the rest of the content.

Thanks to all who posted here. Better and faster tech advice than I received from EA :-)

The Shadow Broker download is a bit weird apparently.

The other DLCs (listed below) could be installed just by clicking on it in my Download directory
- Aegis Pack
- Kasumi - Stolen Memory
- Zaeed - The Price of Revenge (Cerberus Network)
- Cerberus Weapon and Armor (Cerberus Network)
- Normandy Crash Site (Cerberus Network)
- Cerberus Arc Projector (Cerberus Network)
- Firewalker Pack (Cerberus Network)

Not so LotSB - it gave me an error about not being able to access "the path or file" and it took me a second download to wise up to moving the DL to the ..\\\\Steam\\\\SteamApps\\\\common\\\\mass effect 2\\\\BioGame\\\\DLC directory.

Here it's at least happily installing. Looking forward now to the car scene crash. I had originally wanted to wait with recruiting Samara until after this as well. *sigh*

Okaj. I got this problem with the sky-car chase video shutting down and only ambient sound playing in the back.
The thing that workt for me was to:
1. dowlnload the Mass Effect 2 v1.02 [MULTI5] No-DVD/Fixed EXE from:

http://m0002.gamecop...Effect 2 v1.02 [MULTI5]%20No-DVD/Fixed%20EXE

2. Go to config. Turn of and down every video option and turn on window mode.

3. Right Click in to the .exe file in binaries (after you have instalde the crack) and them Properties and then turn compatibility mode for xp on (if you have vista or win7) and turn on run in 256 colors and disable visual themes etc...

4. Play through the ska-car chase and then save. Turn off the game, put all the options back to the original settings you normally use.

5. Play the rest.

The game will look afull. The collors Will mostly be red and black you will berly se a thing and make the chase harder (that is a good thing, for the chase was realy boring. But the rest of the dlc was wonderfull.) Will try this on prodiect overlord dlc laiter to see if I can make that work to.

I struggled for a few hours trying to figure out how to fix the car chase scene. So I turned off my motion blur and every setting that had an "off" button on the video configuration on the ME2 startup screen and it worked. All the faces look like they have leprosy, but it works. I have a GE force 7600 Gt... seems to be common that this one fails. So just drop the settings I mentioned and you should be able to get through the car chase scene. Thanks for the suggestions WARPNINE!

i have played Shadow Broker, The car chase bug also appears to me, But i have downloaded Vitality Patch. Uninstalled the game than reinstalled it, than installed shadow broker extension. than applied the vitality patch. It's works, The shadow broker is some kind of sexy guy. I have window xp, 512mb card nvidia 95 gt.

I had a similar problem with the dlc. I got it to work after I started a save file that
Was earlier in my game and played the sidequest I had not done. After doing zaeeds
quest, I went back to the shadow broker dlc and all was well.

I won't even enter the skycar chase, instead the cinematic with Tela Vasir and Liara T'Soni are shooting at eachother just sort of freezes and never end properly. Instead Liara T'Soni just vanishes and Tela Vasir stands still doing nothing and my bullets go right thru her.

What a useless DLC  And considering the quality of the other DLCs I bought, I think it's safe to say I won't buy any ME3 DLCs. A waste of money, all of them.

What a useless whinger. Seeing as you cat be bothered reading the "Read First" thread to give detailed information on your error, and the machine you are running it on, theres nothing anyone can do to help. Read the thread, and give us what we need, and then you might get some help. Or, go away and deal with EA support, as they are the ones who provide the official tech support for this game.

Liara DLC is malfunctioning...when I get to the car chase the visuals go black. I hear sound, see the messages prompting like "loosing target, I can steer (I hear acceleration and hitting obstacles) but I cant see sh!t. Its all black screen. Can anyone tell me whats the problem, did any of you experienced this or heard about it?
