Honestly I was really wishing there was a way to tell Alistair to leave me alone while playing my female Warden. It actually got pretty aggravating because I wasn't pursuing one, and he still acted like I was up until the point he made me choose between him, and Lelianna.

It's pretty easy romancing Leliana as male or Female. I usually find Leliana romance as male easy, because you toss out one terrible pick up line and she's catfighting Morrigan. Leliana as a female is easy too, because she comes onto you. I find Leliana (both genders) and Morrigan the easiest.

Ugh, I know what you mean. I had the exact problem, but finally figured out a way to shut him down without losing any approval. At the first opportunity, ask him, "If you were raised in the Chantry have you never..." ->"Sex?"->"You've never had the opportunity?"->"You think I'm beautiful?"->"I'd rather you didn't." After that I was in the clear and all the romance dialogue options disappeared in subsequent conversations.

God, I remember the game when Alistair and Leliana made me choose between them. It was too bad there wasn't an option to 'dump' both of them. I should have picked Alistair instead of Leliana because if you do the 'by the way, we're over' dialogue at least he doesn't argue with you about it like she does.

Everytime I try to do a different romance with either Leliana or Zev during a playthrough I still end up going for Alistair. Leliana is just too pushy and I feel like I need to take a shower after talking with Zev.

One of these days I might roll a male warden to see what the romance with Morrigan is like, but after having too many games of having no choice but male characters it's hard to break with playing my preference.

Yeah one of the reasons I kinda wish both of them would confront you ala ME1.

Leliana: You need to make a choice.

Warden: You know what I'm not doing this.

Alistair: Not doing what?

Warden: ...Either of you. : Warden walks away:

Morrigan: Fools!

Leliana, and Alistair disapprove -10

*gah* Is this thread going to turn into another "I like Alistair BEST thread"?  I hope not :(

Ha! That's a good one.

A friend of mine wanted the Shepard option of "Can't I have you both?" ala ME1 with Leliana and Morrigan. A part of my brain died from the horror. ;)

The two of them catfight enough as it is, if they both agreed to share, it'd be even worse.

Yeah, and the really nasty cat fights aren't even in the core game.

Leliana sticks to you like caramel pudding, especially if you're female, and Alistair's romance is so easy to activate that I thought all female PCs got the rose til I came on the forums.

But I think they're all easy peasy to activate, if you're playing a PC of the right gender and you talk to/ be nice to the NPC.  Everyone's dying to fall in love with the Warden!

Leliana's is hardest to get the whole thing of. Zevran has some weird off-tracks that are hard to achieve (been in the Zev-thread too long).

I consider Alistair and Morrigan easiest.

With Leliana, don't lie to her as a Male about Morrigan. When she finds out you lied, and you choose Morrigan, she will never trust you again.

I'm at heart an Alistair lover, but I think you aren't taking a good look at Zevran.  There's a lot more to him than smarmy come-ons.  I was surprised at how much depth his character has.  Once he starts falling in love, he becomes confused about his future with you, and he will start refusing tent invitations.

I put this screenshot together to show a friend.  I combined a lot of the dialog into one shot to avoid sending her numerous pictures.  SPOILERS!  Don't don't enlarge, if you don't want them.  And sorry to Zev lovers about the modded face, but I liked him with dark hair.

Well, until she tells you to be with Alistair.  Atleast she forced a break up with Morrigan.  I always found Leliana more possesive with the male warden.

You still can but you have to break up with Morrigan when she forces it otherwise it's a pretty steep approval drop.

Isn't that pretty universal? 'If your LI asks you if you're cheating on her and manages to name the person you are, in fact, cheating on her with then denying it and being caught later will destroy any trust she had in you.'

Actually, it makes ZERO impact on the relationship. There's no indication anywhere that trust is lost.

Edit: If you choose her, things just go on as before.

Yeah oddly it works best to admit to it, then ask if she's jealous, and then say it would become an issue.

All of the LIs will force a choice at certain approval levels. (edit: if you have 2 romances going on at once, that is)

No impact game-mechanics-wise, maybe, but that's how it is with a lot of things. People think that it's important RP-wise to ask the LI to sleep with them or to wait for the LI to come to them, for instance, even though ultimately the relationship stays pretty much the same. You can imagine that the actual realationship that two people have would be greatly impacted by being caught cheating after having first lied about it.

Well, sure. But saying, "Leliana will never trust you again," or whatever is untrue.

Which character do you think is the easiest to romance. (Besides Zevran, with him all you have to do is flirt)

Depends. Leliana seems pretty easy to start the romance with, but the romance scene isn't available until 100 approval. I heard that it's easy to bed Morrigan early.

Everyone keeps telling me that, and I believe it, I just had a hard a time getting past the smarminess. Maybe one of these days I will. :)

Zevran's romance is worth doing, at least once. Especially if you can mod the game to get rid of the worst of the bugs in his romance (which are bad, but you know, I liked the romance before I fixed them). He does fall in love, the refusing the tent IS temporary, and his declaration of feelings is very touching. The commitment he shows the warden is surprising, and the fact is, sex becomes an expression of love for him, which is pretty mind blowing.

Plus you can end up engaged (but it takes some unintuitive dialog choices in a slightly earlier conversation). Take the smarmy come ons for what they are -- a way for him to show his interest. He was written to be just as faithful as the other romance partners, after all.

Edit: One thing to keep in mind about Zevran is he was taught, from a baby, that love and attachment is wrong.  He was tortured quite a bit to try to keep him cold.  He has learned that people use affection and caring to manipulate and get their own way, and he was taught to do that himself.  That he can overcome all of that and fall in love, despite it being the last thing he wants, is a pretty nice part of the romance.

Besides, Zevran, well, you don't have to have sex with him at all.  You can turn down the massage in a way that loses no approval (he thinks its cute) and some of the dialogs are nicer if you don't have sex with him (it takes the sleazy vibe out of a couple of the conversations).  You still have to ask him to the tent once after he falls in love, but, I don't know, the relationship with Zevran, though it can become sexual, all the way through is not really for him about sex.

Besides, you can also play it, at the beginning, that he is looking for a commitment for the future pretty much from the start, depending on the dialog choices you make when he hits 26+ and asks what your plans are for him.  It can be a very sweet conversation, with both of you saying you'd like him to be with you after the "gray warden business" is over.

Second edit: That's not to say you can't have it be totally casual, just FB all the way, because you can, at least at the start.  But once he falls in love, he won't do that.  It's one of the reasons he'll dump a warden -- if they don't love him back, he can't be with them.

I'm another Alistair lover who will put in a big plug for Zevran's romance as being very touching and fun.
