Yeah, I remember seeing a comment in another review that you can toggle a sort of 'clean up' setting, so that the cutscenes after battles don't have you bathed in blood. Of course you can leave it on and look like a little vlad all you want, if that's your thing. :)

I´ve also read the review (bought the stuff extra for it.. and it was not! worth the price). alas it´s nice that the score is that high and the reviewers love it, the article itself is kinda annoying. Are game testers nowadays forced to write silly, childish comments every two sentences?

Such as?

It´s the style of the whole test (but as i´ve read the magazine now, they have this throughout the whole thing).
Only one example - the obligate picture of morrigans romance, with underlined text "Wild:Hexenluder Morrigan lässt sich leicht flach legen. Lassen sie ihren Helden das mal mit dem Kampfhund versuchen".
Which means roughly translated "Witch-**** morrigan is easily nailed, let´s try this with the war dog". etc etc.
but as i said, it seems to be their kind of "style" in the end only the 91 % count..

Either I'm going blind or you've bought another magazine ... That is NOT the PC Games review ... maybe that's the sister mag PC Action which also gave a rating over 90% (could be 91) and has a writing style similar to your quote.

On which page could I find that quote?

Normally I don't care about reviews, but since Dragon Age is getting a lot of praise, it must make it notice more, this game is going to need all the marketing it can get.

Ah, you´re quite right :) Since they have a nearly similiar pro and cons as well as the same 91% i mixed them up a bit. So in fact it´s another 91 % for DAO :)

Two things which i noticed though. The Bows without strings really really look "strange" :( And if you tune down the graphics settings, you should be able to play it on a fairly medium system, according to the testers.

I haven't read the issue in question, but that is one of the reasons why I stopped reading gaming mags in general: too much space wasted on stupid babble and sexist remarks. It really gave me the impression that grown and supposedly intelligent men (and the rare woman) tried to sound like "k3wl" like a snot-nosed teenie-boy.

(Another reason were the half- or full-page porn ads for cellphones. Made me want to puke.)

Thats true... and because of this i am only reading Gamestar(ign)

No porn ads and reflected+critical reviews.

My suggestion is they will give 88-90%.

Cons: Graphics, some strange animations, static NPCs, silly gore, PC has no voice acting,

, lame Camera control and no Boo :)
