for Witch's Hunt..

did you feel the DLC was worth it?

What would you rate it out of 10?

I need to know..because I thought I had a bugged ending...

and then after reading the comments all around...

I realized I had the correct ending...and I was still very much unhappy with the DLC.

I believe this DLC had the most hype and it was absolutely terrible...I am an avid fan of Dragon Age. I love everything that Bioware makes. But this was terrible..

What are your thoughts.

I don't want this to be a flame thread. I just want to see whether those who ACTUALLY got the right ending were HAPPY.

I know exactly how you feel. Mine was unbugged, but totally disapointing. I adore biowares creations, always thought they got too much of a hard time on here, but after that i feel like picking up a flaming torch with the rest of them.

58 minutes and a terrible ending to my wardens story. They should have made all the dlc as side quests in-game, so the true ending could be slaying the archdemon. That would have been a perfect ending to the wardens tale, more fitting then that of awakening or witch hunt.

I sincerly hope bioware take what people are saying about this dlc seriously and dont just pass it off as people ****ing for the sake of ****ing

That's exactly how I felt.

Despite everything, the unbugged ending wasn't really all that great either.

What happened was what I kinda expected, me going with Morrigan to help her prepare for what is to come, I also thought the reunion was kind of touching, from a Morrifan's perspective I'd rate it 9/10, the banter lines between companions were pretty good as well.

For someone who really doesn't care for Morrigan... well congratulations, you just paid 7$ for a DA2 teaser

It was the biggest let down ever. What on earth were bioware thinking? Or was it EA?

It's actually sort of made me lose interest in the whole game.

And if DA2 is anything like this.. forget it.

I was disappointed that Morrigan only appeared a few minutes, and there are many questions that remain unanswered. I don't regret buying the DLC, but the character deserved much more.
I played the DLC with a Dalish elf who had romanced her, so role playing it was easy, the dalish look for ancient lore, and in the DLC, my character could answer questions from his origins story AND get his happy ending with Morrigan, but so many questions I would have wanted to ask and I could not: where had she been? Is my son a mage? etc...

It was a good little story, yes, and i didnt expect much dialogue from Morrigan so i wasnt disappointed in those aspects.

But this was an END to the warden. And it was definitely not fitting.

I know they said theyve ended da origins abruptly because da2 is nearly ready. Did they rush this dlc, or was there going to be others after this to give the warden a more apt end? Dont suppose we'll ever know....

Disappointed - very much so yes.
I got the bugged version - so I made a second playthrough with my Dalish.
Normally utterly nonsense - but he was the one who sacrificed himself, refusing the ritual but loved Morrigan deeply. So - yes I got a happy end cause I worked around the bug and reloaded a earlier safe before the Landsmeet.
I didn't care about the nonsense - cause this was the most loveless and unsatisfying DLC ever. The Dungeon Crawl in GoA was better then that.
Morrigan as a important Char in DA.O had deserved something like *Leliana's Song* - even if you hate her.

We - the audience and buyers of the game - are looking so dumb and stupid to Bioware that they think give them food - they will buy all - even if its tasting like crap ?

Shame on you Bioware and EA

Edit: Rate ?? -5 or ZERO:mellow:

Except the ending, I think everything else is good, at least better than GoA and Darkspawn Chronicles. dialogue is nice, companions are great. I still believe that this DLC is the final bridge between DA:O and DA2, especially at the end when Morrigan talks about Flemeth and her plan. In my opinion, it's a little better than Leliana's song, since that DLC doesnt have any new story. I will give witch hunt 7/10 as long as Bioware fix the bug

Well, I think it's difficult to say "it was worth it", but I got an end to my warden I liked. The storyline in the dlc could have been better even if the dialogue and the companions are quite well, but the end was definitely what I always wanted. Couldn't have been better for this one special warden. For the other chars I have, I think I will not even play this dlc because I think these chars wouldn't have followed Morrigan.

So, did I pay too much for about 1h gametime I won't repeat with other chars? Maybe, but I don't care... I like this DLC.

Just one thing... I really would like to know what happens after...

As there is nothing about the god-baby, the only Wardens that get an interesting story with Witch Hunt are those who romanced Morrigan. Or really hated her. But other characters just search her, find her and have a little talk that reveals next to nothing. The gameplay was ok, the recycling hard to tolerate, the new companions were cool, the return of dog (and the explanation of his Awakening absence) were great. Overall a 7 of 10.

The DLC was good up until the end. Even though I got an "unbugged" ending, I was somewhat disappointed because I expected a greater Morrigan involvement in the DLC. Instead, all I got was a 2 minute conversation at the end.

I thought it was worth it. I enjoyed finding out more about the mirrors from the Dalish origin and all the references to the DA world that were in there. I played through as my Orlesian warden so the confrontation at the end was a bit anti-climatic. I guess maybe a 7 1/2.

Those were the things that made me think, "wow, this is really a great DLC," as I was playing. Also, I liked the humor in it. Too bad the end was a let down.

In short, I liked the ending. It gave some answers, although it was nothing I had not already figured out. It gave me more questions and supported some of my theories about Dragon Age lore. I can see why the DLC may annoy people if they wanted straight answers but personally i prefer to have clues and try and work it out myself.
As for the actual DLC as a whole i enjoyed it. I liked that it wasnt just one location, even if the locations used were recycled. The final 'boss' fight was rather simple in my oppinion, even on nightmare difficulty, but was fairly entertaining anyhow.
All my point of view of course though. Image IPB

I got the bugged ending but I thought it was very good. The end fit the love story of my Warden and Morrigan very well (I agree it was quick though). I would say 8/10

I was disappointed. :(

My character had to run around naked :o ; Warden Armor did not import over.

They should have spent some time and make a true expansion for DAO. I suppose this is what happens when Bioware is not in total control and they have to answer to  the Corporation ( EA) and find ways to make money by releasing doodoo.

I love DAO though.

I'd rate it about a 5. I played it first through as an m!Cousland baby-daddy who was not in love with her, but she was with him. He still had the ring, and there were some nice dialogue bits that catered to that.

However, is anyone else bugged about the fact that there is no auto-save *after* the conversation with Morrigan? If that's the case, then it's like none of the decisions the Warden makes during that encounter matter, because none of them can carry forward without a save.

If that's deliberate, then I give it a -1 on that 1-10 scale. None of the rest of the DLC was worth it if the confrontation isn't important.

2/10. Atrocious piece of overhyped marketing wrapped up in blatant lies.

Im fairly certain it is meant to have an auto-save after the conversation, and that they are trying to figure out why it does not.

EA have nothing to do with games development of Bioware games. They are a publisher.

People seem to have it in for EA but without all the money they throw at Bioware would their games be as great as they have been since EA came in for Bioware?

Bioware/Mythic is the MMO and RPG gaming division of EA, not a separate company using EA as a publisher.

Is this a retorical question?

Extremely disappointed.. I'm on Xbox and I think I got an "un-glitched" ending...

Ratings don't really tell much but...

Length: 4/10 -- way too short with too little Morrigan.

Answers: 0/10 -- total over-hype... no explanations, just more questions and some teasers about Flemeth's and Morrigan's real purposes.

Ending: 2/10 -- unsatisfactory conclusion regardless if Warden stayed behind or went with M.

Overall: 3/10 - 'nuff said.

BioWare normally has good to great DLC game play add-ons, but not this time. this felt both incomplete and rushed. More like they threw a bone to the folks that wanted a "real ending" for their Warden. Only it wasn't a real ending imo.
