All I know is if I don't get to play my Warden again I'm satisified, but if there is just a hint of a chance I get to see him or play him DA3 or in some kind of DA2 Expansion, I'll be thrilled to no end.

How can you give this DLC a 9/10?? Especially if you are a Morrigan fan?? What was a 9 in this game, seriously?? You saw Morrigan for what... 10 seconds....and she said just about nothing - then she gave you a "very interesting" book you couldn't even read? Utter stupidity. This was a complete and utter cop-out by Bioware - complete waste of time

The OP was asking for reasons why people enjoyed WH. He said:Petehog wrote...
I don't want this to be a flame thread. I just want to see whether those who ACTUALLY got the right ending were HAPPY.
I don't think you need to talk down to someone for saying they enjoyed the dlc. Not everyone has the same taste. But it would be nice to know specifically why LordGremlin gave it a 9/10. Being a Morrigan fan doesn't automatically mean someone would rate it that high. I've seen some fans who were disappointed.
I guess I'd rate the first 2/3 of WH 6/10. And the last 1/3 of it I thought was a 2/10. For the reasons I stated in my earlier post.
That is what I asked - what exactly was the reason for giving this game a 9/10? It seems as if the person didn't actually play the DLC at all, simply put a ridiculous 9/10 rated because they are a "Morrigan fan"
My rating: 3/10

Well, thank you for sharing your ending as it at least explains how it could possibly be a 9/10 for you. I played as a HFN as Morrigan's 'friend'; the ending was just pathetic as was the entire 1 hour of playtime. I'm glad you received an ending that you enjoyed.

Probably true. But to be fair, I bought Witch Hunt because it was advertized as (and I quote} the dramatic conclusion to the Origins storyline .Ydwros wrote...
For me was fine, i think of it as a connection to Dragon Age 2, plus this is a story that goes fine with what Morrigan wanted on the 1st place and opens a window for much more content regarding that new dimension she goes and the child, dunno why some people are so disapointed... well on the other hand you can't keep everyone happy.

Telling us a week later that it's not actually a conclusion to anything, but rather, "the beginning of something new", is not an argument that improves my view of it
That all said, I thought it was OK overall. It had the "little things" that sorta endeared me to it (Sandal, decent, trasferrable loot, 2 really cool companions, etc.)

That gives Witch Hunt 700000000000000000000000000000000000 out of 10 in my book!

Ok it wasn't as good LotSB but I feel it ended the DA:O story. I made a female mage who was friendly to morrigan and had LI Alistar do the DR. So our meeting was friendly I learned a bit about the god baby a clue that Flemeth might be worth killing again and she left me a "gift". I see this as an end to DA:O but not nessasary to my warden. So I'm quite happy about that.
I'm now really looking forward to DA2 most likely I make Hawke a male warrior for a change (as I usally go for mages whenever possible). I also think that there will be a DA3 I know thats getting way way ahead of myself but its possible we will all see our wardens again.

Is that bugged or normal? I am guessing bugged.
What do you mean, go with her, help her prepare?
Is that what happens when you say other things?
You can go with her?
I give it 8/10. Too short but good.
Too much Dragon Age 2 in.
That might be a good game if they had not obviously fragged it up .

I'll probably buy DA 2 as I don't expect any direct connection to the things my Origins characeter did - but I doubt I will be picking up any more expansions for Origins because I'm tired of being dissapointed at 5 to 7 dollars at a time.

When you decide to kiss her and say goodbye, she leaves you the item of great interest. So I guess that means you found what you were searching for in the DLC. However it was an abrupt end to the whole quest.
When you decide to follow her through the mirror, you go with her without helping your other party members. Seeing as how through the entire Origins and Awakening campaigns my character helped everyone he could, it seemed too selfish to leave my WH party members behind offering them no help before going through the mirror. Not to mention he'd be leaving everyone else behind whom he worked with and helped in Origins and Awakening.
Again, I in fact enjoyed the DLC but felt I was left short-handed at the abrupt conclusion. And if it's true that this was the final DLC before the release of DA2, it leaves a few too many questions left unanswered.

It felt like window dressing to cover the fact they were basically selling you an item pack. It also has that same disjointed, incomplete feeling the Awakening expansion did. Why bother adding new interactive characters when the player will never get a chance to flesh out their potentional?
My score? 1/10

As a whole, I enjoyed With Hunt. Yes it's quite short and the ending leaves much to be desired. Myself, since I romanced Morrigan and did the DR I felt the conclusion of the DLC left me confused for a couple reasons:

I think there's a point to be made here - if you're using a character that romanced Morrigan, you're probably more likely to find this one a tad more satisfying, even if it isn't up to the usual standard of Bioware's DLCs.
Admittedly, I would have preferred some answers rather than a well-Flemeth-is-planning-bigger-things teaser, but that being said, my Warden got a nice ending with Morrigan, and on that count alone, this DLC isn't completely bad. And I loved Finn / Ariane too - they're way more convincing as companions than the Leliana's Song companions Tug and Sketch.
It boils down to expectations. Don't go into this one expecting the world, and it'll satisfy. Although, to be honest, it's hard to believe that Bioware can churn out something like this at the same time as the fantastic LotSB for Mass Effect 2. Now that was something else

I had Dog sniff some of Morrigans old clothes that I still had from when she had changed in Denerim, and soon we were hot on her trail. During the chase I ran into a couple of bumbling folks that made me pine for Leliana and Alistair, but I needed someone to carry the food so I let them come along. Soon they started yapping about god knows what, so I pulled out Logain's skull from my backpack and watched Dog gnaw on it until they got the hint.
Finally I spotted her at the mirror. I attempted to sneak up on her with my new Spirit Warrior abilities, but she had sensed my arrival through her ring long before. When she turned towards me I could see the mountain of doubt still in her eyes.
Unravelling the webs of distrust and hatred that Flemeth had woven inside of Morrigan's mind took the better part of the afternoon. She finally understood we're after the same thing now, and there's no reason to go it alone. Now we can trust each other, now we can love each other, now we can be together, forever.
I pulled her close to me, and when our lips met I thought I had slipped back into the fade. Everything stopped.
Our kiss broke as we came up for air. She quickly wiped away a tear, vainly protesting that I had squeezed it out of her by holding her too tightly. I responded by quickly scooping her up in my arms, her protests turning to laughter as her arms wrapped around my neck. As I carried her through the mirror our lips pressed together warmly. Colors washed over us as we were enveloped by the void. Maybe this time we did hold each other a bit too tightly, but nothing would ever seperate us again.
Suddenly a searing pain shot through my ribs. I awoke and my wife was elbowing me demanding to know who "Morrigan" was. Damn, I fell asleep after Amgarrak and drempt the whole thing ! I mumbled something about an Aunt Morrigan in Hungary and shuffled off to my computer.
Unfortunately the real Witch Hunt was way too short, too easy, and the ending was ridiculously short. This could have been tacked onto Amgarrak as one $10 DLC.
The stuff they could have done: travel old zones with Morrigan, endless random encounters so you can kill time until DA2, punch Wynne in the face, say goodbye to Alistair before going through the mirror... jeebus.
5/10 passing grade because they allowed us to complete the Morrigan story (Thanks!), and her closing her eyes for a change as we kissed before going through the mirror.

I was dissappointed because i felt it was not in my character to go through the mirror with her. As the saviour of ferelden i felt he had duties...IN FERELDEN!!!!. so therefore it is not the end of my wardens tale as i was led to believe.
I understand. Yet, the beauty of role-playing is that kind of flexibility in interpretation. I agree up to a point, but I role played my Warden as I would have in a real life situation: Love has blinded me to a significant other where I put them first. Sure, it has a selfish romantic element that my intellectual side abhors but I would that way anyway. Hence, when I had the choice to go with her thinking "now or never, as I'm not going through a DAO style heartbreak again," I lept at the chance to go with her throught the mirror. It was worth it as my Warden's story concluded with getting the girl ever after.

I liked it, it did feel a bit rushed but the dialogue was good particularly with Morrigan. I suppose I bought it without reading any of the "hype" so I don't have the disappointment/anger that quite a few people seem to have. I prefered Leliana's story as it was 1) longer and 2) felt more fleshed out.
I would give it a 7/10.
Agree Leli had better overall romance and better DLC, but Morri as a character was a better experience for me.

+ I got my Pupsydasies back (eh.. my dog that is). And he was good companion there and I liked the way it was explained where was he when I was in Amaranthine.
+ I liked the banter between companions. Particularly funny were the moments between dog and Ariane.
+Liked the interlinking of stories.
+The Dalish idea behind it was good.
+companions were good but Ariane was slightly too good. The fights were already quite easy and Ariane being so good and my char being as well it took its toll out of the difficulty. I should perhaps play this next time before Awakening so that the game play would be more challenging.
+Good items for further gameplay.
Then negatives
- Fights were too easy. I was hoping the difficulty to be like in Golems because my character was already an ultimate killing machine and kind of yearned for challenge.
- Morrighan's part was minimal. You kind of knew when you were running around the taig that you will not encounter Morrigan until in the end - and when you did it was only a short, but really quite nice conversation. I got unbugged ending -she recognised me as her dear friend and sister but I just wish I would have seen her more.
-some banter was playing when fight was on.
In total. Whereas the dlc was not as good as Leliana for example, but it entertained me for that short duration. All the time I wanted to see what comes next. I would play the dlc through again just for the sake of checking the banter I missed when it overlapped with fighting sounds and also because I do not want to lay my characters to rest after Awakening and Golems.. Whereas it could have been better I found it entertaining nonethless and I did not feel I had wasted my money.
