Positive things:
+ I got my Pupsydasies back (eh.. my dog that is). And he was good companion there and I liked the way it was explained where was he when I was in Amaranthine.

Wait.... it was?

Yes, it was.

Horrible ending, but the gameplay really did build up the suspense. The suspense ended completely when we met Morrigan. I got the bugged version so it was 10x's worse, but she just kept circumventing the questions. I mean who does that, really... We got to hear "the Mother" spew her nonsense, the Architect's dangerous plan, and even Teyrn Loghain's reason behind his supposed treachery, so why can't we at least find out Morrigan's whole plan. I think a DLC this critical was handled so very wrongly. If we at least get a glimpse of the Warden, akin to San Andreas' Claude Speed cameo (he never talked, but just stood beside Catalina while she did all the talking), in DA: 2 that would be worth the cliff-hanger.

Yrkoon: Check your codex-entries. There should be a new entry about the dog (completely new entry - it did not for some reason update my old dog codex). Lucky dog.

I played Witch hunt before Awakening(had no bugs) and was impressed with the Dragon bone fields. I liked Finn and the elf too.

You get to see Morrigan very briefly, and she offers NO answers.

But you get to ride into the sunset... here's to DA2!

I was a bit disappointed. I first looked at this DLC if it was really nightmare I'm playing on. After beating The Harvester, it seamed all so .. easy!

Anyway, they had some story line again, and that was quite a surprise. I liked it running trough the library, and I enjoyed the comments of the characters to each other.

Overall, it was a fun DLC, even when it was way too easy.

Yes. The characters were strong but getting the option to end up with Morri in the end was awesome!

Despite what most people think, it did have a good solid ending for storyline purposes. It ends with a question that leads straight into DA2. I mean sure I would love for it to be a happier ending for my character, but it is a totally fitting ending with how the games have gone. You have the hard choices that you need to make. Not going to say more since it would be spoiler and specific to my character. 9/10 for my first character...too much stuff to do or else I would do it with my other ones.

What happened was what I kinda expected, me going with Morrigan to help her prepare for what is to come, I also thought the reunion was kind of touching, from a Morrifan's perspective I'd rate it 9/10, the banter lines between companions were pretty good as well.

For someone who really doesn't care for Morrigan... well congratulations, you just paid 7$ for a DA2 teaser

Thank you as probably the most vocal of the Morrigan haters here i still did not think the ending was all that bad except for the part where she falls back into the mirror. I was hoping for a more definate finish to the Morrigan story. Something more along the lines of gutting the tart, throwing her in the dirt at my feet, watching her bleed out slowly, stepping over her to soon to be rotting corpse on my way out. Other than being denied the opportunity to end once and for all Morrigan's involvment in the DAO world i thought the DLC was ok, not as good as DSC or Leliana's song but hey Leliana's song was so good that the rest of the DLCs after it are going to suck in comparison. I really liked Ariane and Finn though to bad they were not around long enough to really use them but as fillers they were not bad. I would have no problem with either of them being avalable to use in the future (DA2 or DA3) as enjoyable as they were.

In all truth it is only really relevant to the player if they romanced and participated in the dark ritual which as i only have 2 of 22 charactrers that followed that plot line it was a kind of pointless DLC for me. Killing Morrigan was somewhat anticlimactic. The story of Witch Hunt when i did kill Morrigan in 3 of the 6 plays i ran it left me with a feeling i crushed the head of a mewling helpless kitten in my fist. I used to love to hate Morrigan now after WH i pity her more than anything else, do feel kind of robbed with that turn. I do kind of feel let down with how the Morrigan character changed from the vile cruel **** to helpless kitten running for her life from the warden or Flemeth, still rooting for Flemeth though.

What's the deal with this BS "cut to credits" at the end, before you find out what this "one more thing" Morrigan left you along with the Dalish book for the Elf companion? And what is it anyway? I really despise when game developers take control away from you like that.

People seem to have it in for EA but without all the money they throw at Bioware would their games be as great as they have been since EA came in for Bioware?

Bioware before EA was legendary, I can only assume that there titles since EA have been great because of this, not by any influence EA has brought about. If anything I'd would say EA is to blame for all the rushed/buggy content we've seen since they took over, as is the norm for EA and other developers they've swallowed up.

I just played it for the first time, and I guess I'll join the echo chamber. The ending was horrible.

Clearly there will be more to the Morrigan---Warden---Baby story in the future like all multi part games you will eventually understand most if not all of the big W's at some point just be patient. Was it the greatest DLC ever? No....but it wasn't pointless, it may not have fully satisfied your thirst for knowledge but it laid down the tracks for the future and passed the baton over to the next phase of the storyline. So from a big picture perspective...this was well done.

They probably would have just been better off releasing some kind of cinematic episode showing the finale....but of course with every individual player having a different possible story that would have been impossible so what can you do....

What is really funny is people saying they won't be buying DA:2 because of this....lol I smell some serious BS

I'm going to guess, the unidentified object she left was Flemeth's real grimoire. Perhaps? Which, if one could have it translated ? could provide a clue to what her intentions were. And what she is.

But since my ending was bugged...sigh...

It had a pretty unsatisfying ending. Here's the big reveal: something important will happen, presumably in the upcoming sequel. Oh, and Flemeth is really, really powerful and probably dangerous.

I'll say something nice, though: I liked the companions and the party banter occasionally made me smile.

It was nice to see Morrigan again but it was really disappointing with how it ended. However, Witch Hunt was amde when DA2 was already almost finished, so if they knew that they were taking the storyline in a different direction, why would they release Witch Hunt with new questions? Also, Laidlaw has confirmed that DA2 will set up to continue the Morrigan story. So in a way, it might have just been crucial to just throw an extra bit of lore with what happened to Morrigan in there.

Still, the characters are boring, the locations are all reused, etc. It's just 1 hour of Dragon Age, but without the immersive world and awesome characters. But like I said, it'll be worth it if I can import my Warden (who went through the mirror) and have the consequences matter in DA3.
