Was going through some of those modules on the romance list and came across Solaufein.
I think it's a decently fun romance mod to play, but .. I am stuck at a certain point.
(Spoilers ahoy below...)
..
...
.......
...........
I am at the point where Solaufein gets kidnapped/teleported away. I then proceed further and come across a tent guarded by 2 drow fighters. I dispatch them with relative ease. I take their little spyder badge thingies and am transported into their tent.
From here, I have no clue what to do. I see a design/symbol on the floor. I also see an arrow pointed a certain direction. There is also a well with shallow water that I also don't know what to put into it (if anything).
So don't know what I am supposed to do there. Help ?
Thanks!
Joe C.
Anyone here is playing or played Solaufein?

Nope, nothing there.
Here is a link to it (if these silly forums will accept the link):

I asked the question in the comments section of the project, but nobody has replied. Which was why I decided to ask here and see if anyone in this forum had any ideas..

Hi!
I played through that module recently.
There is a pressure plate in the tent that activates a portal when you step on it. You only need to find something to weigh it down so you can get to the portal. Look around the tent and outside.
Post back if you need more spoilers, there should also be a spoilers section int the ReadMe-file.
Have Fun!

Hey,
Thanks a lot for the tip! I have a pretty good idea now what to use for that aforementioned plate.
Will give it a try next time I get a chance to play NWN.
Thanks again,
Joe C.

Anyone knows where to get the hak for Solaufein?
And is it really needed in order to play it right?
[Edit] I just checked, and I can't play it without the .hak file...
Help!

Solaufein : Fine module, and a quick one as well. The very ending, especially its words, is beautiful, even if I found the love story itself quite "light"
Anyone knows why that module isn't on the vault and what is this "Projects" area about?
We can't vote, nor comment...
What happened to that game?

mmhh I seem to recall that there was some angry dispute between the author and someone in the comment section. Don't recall the reason anyway, it happened too many years ago, sorry!

Iirc, the author was swarmed by Vault trolls who didn't like Sola being bisexual.

I cannot believe what you just said. Not even gaming can be free from some people...
I thank you very much the info.
There was that friend of mine once he used to say: "I first fall in love, then I check (gender) on who I'm falling for..." I've always been impressed by such a courage.
If this is not freedom, nothing is.

Well, I finally got around to finishing it. First of all, thanks for the helpful hint, Terishia. Don't think I would've solved it (at least not without a LOT of trial and error) without your help.
I enjoyed it a lot. Yes it can be a bit on the sappy side. But that's fine. It really wasn't a whole lot different than what I expected it to be. I thought it was a good all around module. The fights at times were difficult .. though not as much for me as for poor Solaufein. Had to use the Rod of Resurrection on him a couple of times. It did help though when I knew a combat was about to take place, that I allowed him to buff himself beforehand. It was just those encounters where I did walk into an ambush that things got a bit dicey.
Overall, I thought it was fun mod. If that story is true about the trolls on the Vault, that is too bad. Because it deprived a lot of people a chance to play this fine module.

I'm sorta stuck right now. I'm at the part when Solaufein is kidnapped/teleported by Archryssa. I've already put the mysterious stone in the divining pool. My problem that I'm having is that when I drop the stone I found outside the tent. The portal won't appear. It only shows up when I move my character on the pressure plate. Does anyone have any idea how to get pass this? I really want to finsih this module, since it has a nice story. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about the stone near the river? That weighs 30lbs but when I drop it on the plate the portal still won't appear.

All I remember it has to do with some pressure and some weight. Sorry.
And something to do before maybe...? Not sure but it's a combination of maybe 2 or 3 actions...

What jml is trying to tell you is that if *one* stone is not heavy enough, maybe a second one would help?

Actually I think there is a hint somewhere in some dialog. Otherwise I wouldn't have figured out alone myself. First I hate puzzles, second you might be able to find many solutions, but it's another story to find the same solution but twice or three times...
Now I remember, I found the many stones before. So, I had to use them somehow.
