I've always kept it till the end of Awakening, but on my current playthrough I can't find it in my character's inventory or buy it back from any of the merchants. It seems I have accidentally destroyed the ring or sold it somewhere in Origins. I have the Witch Hunt so I would like to get it back. Is there any way to add it via console or using a mod?
I lost Morrigan's ring.

I don't know the rules (and don't have time to look them up) on posting mod sites so i won't post links, but if you go to the "console" page of Dragon Age Wiki's site (google it if you have never been there), then you can find at the bottom under "external links" a mod that will let you add any item (even items that there is no other way to get) to your inventory. You will also need the toolset to look up the filename for Morrigan's Ring (instructions are on the addon's download page).
I'm actually a Xbox user, but I looked this up for you real quick cause I knew the mod existed, if you need more info hopefully a PC user can give you more info about the mod.

I had two of Morrigan's ring. As soon as I got it from her, I put it into the WK storage chest. Talked to her again and got another ring. I suppose I could have done this ad infinitum but I can only wear two rings at a time. I guess Flemeth must have made one of these rings for every one of her "daughters".

There is a complex way to retrieve another ring if lost one.
Beware that it works ONLY with another ring, three isn't possible.
Beware that you must have the MIRROR, otherwise nothing to do!
The catch is that you have a romance active with Morrygan, betray her with another one (leliana, zavran, etc).
At a certain point you will have to decide who romance, morrygan and the new one.......choose the second and broke with morry!
After that give the mirror to Morry, this force the romance active, continue flirting with her, and broke with any other romance active.
Eventually she will give another ring.

1. Copy the ncs file to "My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override"
Do NOT put the .NSS file into this folder, just ignore it, its for developers with the toolset.
Now after that go to the ITEM LIST which is in the folder with the ncs file and scroll around getting an idea of what items are what.
gen = original campaign items
gxa = awakening
prm000 = premium items
kcc = Return to Ostagar items
I lost my Cailan set from a bug in awakening makin me nekkid. So I had to manually add ALL my weapons and armor not knowing where to look and had to figure all this out alone.

Yes, Morrigan will be happy if you kept it in Witch hunt.

If you have it, drop it into a storage chest. Withdraw that item only. Open up the toolset. Open the save. See what the last item in your inventory is. Should be the name of the ring.
