Hello,
I just reinstalled DA:O  (and some DLC... and mods) and I've hit a few bugs. Namely, in the City Elf Origin, when playing a male elf (haven't tested female yet), after meeting the Arl's son the first time, one of the brides (Soris's bride I think) has invisible hair and I can't talk to them. What happened?

Oh, and before you start blaming the mods I'm using, I've been getting this bug even after disabling all of my mods and moving my override folder to the desktop. Still hit this bug.

And before that, the game can't seem to tell if my character is male or female, resulting in characters randomly treating me as they would either gender (often from line to line).

Also, even though my character is male, every character in the Noble origin treats my char like he's female.

Again, I've checked to see if this is a mod issue, and it isn't.

What the heck is going on?

Just tried doing a female City Elf... same results... still getting 2 brides instead of 1 bride and 1 groom.

What is going on?

This bug seems like its related to the gender checks... is there any way to fix them?

I'd get rid of the mods and see if that changes things.

As I stated in the original post, I've already tried getting rid of all the mods and nothing changed.

There is something wrong with the gender checks.

I hate to say it, but you may need to completely uninstall then reinstall. That sounds really borked.

I don't think it has anything to do with mods...

same thing is happening to me. I had to reinstall my game (DAO +A) yesterday and start over, so I made a female city elf...well they seem to think she is a guy...

well turns out its the patch version that is causing all the problems. I was able to eventually get most of my mods to work , then i didnt have any race buy human...then w/e so...now everything including the mods are working...
(when you load a game or start a new one, don't escape through the intro movies until all have run for at least 20 seconds. Strangely that fixes it for me)
also daupdater doesn't work. Its the wrong file version...will crash your game.
Use DAModder for installing.

this version patch is screwing up everybodies games, vanilla or modded. Hmmm...reminds me of when Sims 3 Ambitions was released. (EA really needs to run some quality control)

Same thing happens to me,i started a new game with human male character and Howe says "I see she's grown into a fine young woman"

My Male City Elf Warden is treated as a Human at several points in the mid-game. Most annoying is during the return to the alienage...nobody recognizes me, not even my cousin!
