Sorry to have to post a new topic about this, but has anyone told Liara "No" when she asks to come up to the Normandy after finished the Shadow Broker mission?

Just curious, because I didn't want to select it with my Shep as he wanted to "embrace eternity" with her, and I didn't think to hard-save before then, so my Auto-save is gone.

I tried it, there's no difference, you simply don't get the Normandy scene

Oh, but what was the dialogue or reason Shep gives, and how does Liara respond? Do you remember?

He said, I don't think that's a good idea. She said something like ok, I understand.

I don't quite remember it. If you're really that interested you can quickly get to that scene by skipping all dialogue and cutscenes

It's one of those bland, "let's keep it professional" things.  The worst part is that Liara looks back all sad and wistful, and Shep turns away with this annoyed expression, refusing to even look at her.

Thanks for the input all! Maybe when I play my rude Renegade she will tell Liara "NO" and break her little blue heart.

At first I was little "WHOOPS" and was getting ready to go back and load my last save when the scene started taking on a romantic vibe but it thankfully pulled back.

There IS an achievement for asking her to the Normandy. Maybe do a save before then reload? And yes I asked her in my ME1 Liara LI game. NOW to see what happen's in my Kaidan LI (and not) games (as MaleShep & FemShep), sorry NO save Ashley games.

There really isn't any reason to not ask her up. And if you don't you won't get access to Shepard's tags. Which I can't find any where in his room.

Not really, you can RP it that way that your Shepard that romanced her finds it difficult to see her after all that time and he wants to forget/move on

Especially since you could already have another relationship going on at that point.

The trigger for resuming the romance is the conversation choice before the one where you ask her up, I think. You can invite her up "safely" if you told her "no hard feelings" or whatever the LR choice is in the immediately previous dialogue selection.

Yeah just because you used to be lovers doesn't mean you have to be lovers again. Hell some of the dialog where you invite her up as a friend are really very nice.

This.  The ways she acknowledges the current LI are actually very sweet.

There really isn't any reason not to invite her up.

Well MY Shepard did romance her in ME1, kissed her in LOTSB and then told her "just to be friends" (Jack's my LI)

Like I said, someone that RP their Shepard might want to forget about her 'cos it's too difficult to see her, or just think it was a one night stand and prefers to keep things professional

I don't care what others think. I enjoyed it when I refused to let Liara come on the Normandy. Maybe she'll remember the next time NOT to give the body of a close friend over to a bunch if sick terrorists.

My shepard romanced Tali in ME2 and Liara in ME1. Clearly liara was still interested but shep said something along the lines of lets just be friend, then they went up to the normandy for drinks and a chat. After it, Liara walked out, a little sad but understanding and Shep said "Come back soon"

Was the perfect situation for my RP Save. Could even turn into some sort of Drama in ME3... cannot wait
