Where do the  new spells show up?  Is it a modification to the original spell scripts, or a separate set of scripts located in the addins folder?

(I have modded spell scripts, but they're the ones from the original game, so if the DLC makes changes to those files my overrides will ensure that I don't ever see the new spells.)
