Hello! I have an execution cutscene but the character that I want to do the executing isn't normally a sword-wielder. Is there a way (animation or script) to give him a sword just for this particular cutscene and then take it away before the cutscene ends?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I think any character you use in a cutscene should be able to use any weapon.
when you say 'give him a sword' and 'take it away' do you mean just let him have a sword that he equips in the cutscene? Or do you mean have someone else in the cutscene give him a sword?

I want it to look like someone hands him a sword, but that's not really the issue. He's a mage, so the player wouldn't have equipped him with a sword. You can set the effect to Draw Weapon, which is how they handle it in the Loghain Execution, but in this case he just takes out his staff. :[
I'm not sure how to put a sword in his hand, basically. It doesn't even need to be an actual equippable item, just a random sword for a beheading. Does that clarify?

Go to the models tab and go to the w_ folder, which contains weapons. Select a weapon model, put it in the cutscene. Add a 'link to actor' action, select your actor and select his hand as the node. You might want to play with "use offset from node" and the position a bit.
