I agree. Lets hope they put it in DA2

If they do, it could be written in like the child in Kill Bill.  It was super dramatc but not in a way that hindered Bea from kicking ass and taking names.  Although that would be a pretty major storyline arc I guess and would probably make having kids almost mandatory. 

I wonder how they could make having kids optional, but still story driven enough to be worth including.

Well i do hope if my femhawke gets knocked up we skip past her pregnancy phase, i do not want to be fighting darkspawn only to astop, go in the bushes to vomit then see her cry and demand some bizzare food combination to her babydaddy (though if it's alistair i miiiight be ok with this just to him go "oh maker!")

If humans can mate with Centaurs (I saw it on Xena, can't argue with mythology) then Qunari are not a stretch of the imagination.

Unless Kirkwall has an excellent daycare I don't think this will work out well. If Hawke does have a child it will probably be something they mention in the epilogue. Something like "After His/her many travels and perilous endeavors there was finally peace and the champion of Kirkwall was able to live with his/her beloved. They soon had a family and lived happily ever after blah blah blah."

In Dragon Age: Stolen Throne, written by Gaider himself, Maric aka Cailan/Alistair baby daddy was RAISED his entire life in war camps as they were on the run as his mother Queen Moira spent pretty much his entire 18 year life span raising a rebel army to depose the Orlesian invaders. So yeah, if Hawkette can raise an army and become Champion of Kirkwall, child rearing is nothing. I mean, c'mon there is precedent for this in the history of Thedas.

Hell even the Arl of Redcliffe sent his sons Eamon and Teagan to the North to be raised by relatives while he fought for the Rebel Army. Hawke has his/her mother plus Bethany plus that town/estate they will be using in lieu of a camp, so yeah it can be done.
