No it doesn't. Having a romance with anyone in DAO made the plot richer, but no one forced you to have one.nhsk wrote...

umm.. I thought we meant US! As in, we the players! But I think you just disproved me...
I mean you really want Hawke (lady) to be all pregnant and fighting darkspawn or taking a maternity leave???? Or being all motherly all of a sudden (hormonal change)???
And don't forget she will have to feed the bay which will keep the entire camp awake the whole night and poop into your DLC armour.
I understand where you're coming from. Hollywood has made so that everything concerning newborn children is all about nappies, hormones and restless nights with jokes about or with them.
I favour this baby plan only if they can weave it into the storyline, if it makes the plot richer. But if they do add possibilities of children, I am sure they will pull it off well.
ITS A GAME!
Not real life.....
Luckily BW knows that for sure... (I am guessing here TBH) and they know what their mature audience/customer wants.

I doubt he'd care even if he did.
Edit: Ignorance is bliss.
I support the idea for a little Hawke chick. It could offer an interesting perspective.

Hmm, but when the issue of forcing babies down the player's throat arises (not literally), it kind of forces the people who are only after Hawke getting some nookie into a corner, doesn't it? :/

Riiight... Now you are pro-pregnancy, anti-nookie.
Heard of contraceptives?

Thank you for missing my point. I was humorously refering to the post about if babies do come and it will be "weaved into the storyline", they will become mandatory.
The point is, that romance isn't mandatory either. However I do believe there will be encounters which are more Zevran-like, for fun, nothing more. But if Hawke wishes to settle down, and with the "estates" around or in Kirkwall we keep hearing about, why not?

Where do nookies fit in then? Remember Gheyna and Isabela? They were not party members or romance options...

Yup, it will not matter - Some way or another, you will have the damn kid if it's tied into the storyline in a way. 1 or 2 sidequests at most, if more it will be a requirement for everyone to have the kid.. Do not want.

And that's what I explained with the casual no-strings attatched sexual encounters or Zevran-esque romance.
But what if a person comes along that wants to settle down with Hawke? And it happens in the timeshift! And children come out of it! Is it too much? Depends. People like different things. Get over it.
